Because it's not the US Government's job to put a stop to it. It's the job of the state and local governments where it's happening.

The narrative that he did it on propose doesn’t really make sense because he wouldn’t have stopped. I guess you could say he had a change of heart

The state said he didn’t intend on it for what that is worth

LINK /

quote:

State authorities said Monday that the driver of tanker truck did not intend to hit anyone when he drove onto the I-35W bridge in Minneapolis, sending protesters running for their lives. Government officials say the trucker, 35-year-old Bogdan Vechirko, may not have realized that I-35W and other interstates had been closed as part of the ongoing unrest sparked by the death of George Floyd last week after an encounter with Minneapolis police. No injuries among demonstrators have been confirmed, the officials said. State Public Safety Commissioner John Harrington said Vechirko, driving an empty fuel tanker truck from Interstate 94 on 35W, was speeding but did not go around any barricades and was not acting intentionally.

I think we should all just be very glad a Nice situation didn’t happen

A couple of observations from that video

1. Not a whole lot of white people

2. The media sure loves emphasizing these are peaceful protests

It’s not about being right or wrong. It’s just about not standing in the middle of the road and getting real confused when you get run the frick over, especially with other people are beating on their doors and windows and scaring them half to death and they floor it.

It’s about using your fricking head. Anything can happen in those situations and they will. Because..... You’re not supposed to be in the middle of the road to begin with.

Same goes for the goofball trying to rob the truck and got trapped and drug down the road as people were banging on his truck to stop and they were real confused and put off when he didnt stop.... Because people were beating on his truck and screaming like a bunch of lunatics and so he freaked out...

Based on the news and what had been happening, not stopping and trying to get a tanker truck out of that situation was probably the best decision to be made.

It’s possible they just forgot one or he did go around something and just thought it was for the riot the night before.

Who knows but If I was a trucker I’d be hauling arse out of town too

And the guy was actually protected by several of the protesters and got out of nearly killing dozens of people with a bloody nose and torn shirt.

I really like how all the bootlickers here are ignoring the fact he actually got arrested for this. I thought y’all backed the blue? The dude barreled down a closed road. How the frick do any of justify this?

Well I might need to eat some crow. Was this road not closed? How did he not know it was shut down?

ne motorist, Meaghan Pezon, told the Star Tribune that said she encountered no barricades blocking traffic onto the bridge in the minutes before the truck barreled through the crowd. Pezon was heading home from a day on Lake Minnetonka, driving north toward Roseville on I-35, where she saw about 10 cars heading the wrong way toward her.

If there was really no barricades there. Wow. MPD is fricking worthless

The road was supposed to be closed at 8pm. It closed early because the protesters blocked it early. The truck was already on the road when they decided to shut it down. He didn't go around any barricades, he was not stopped by law enforcement or warned before coming upon the group, and being that he was driving, probably wasn't in a position to catch the news saying the road closed early.

He was driving at a normal rate of speed for an interstate. The truck comes to a stop and even veers slightly at the end to avoid hitting someone sitting in the road like an idiot. He didn't keep going, he didn't swerve to the shoulder like someone intent to hit protesters would, and he miraculously maneuvered his rig all the way to the end to avoid hitting even a single protester. After all that, he surrendered himself to the mob, something someone with intent to harm would not have done.

This guy was CLEARLY not intending to harm anyone (he could have killed dozens with almost no effort), and anyone who has seen this video and has heard the other facts that says otherwise is a complete piece of shite.

That section of the interstate was closed at the time for protesting

First of all, how is that an option? Second of all, how was he able to gain access to the fricking interstate that was "closed for protesting" And last, but NOT LEAST, what in the frickedy frick is the use of protesting across an interstate that is closed?

bullshite all around.
