That’s fricked but made me laugh my arse off. Seriously though, hope the trucker gets life. No reason to do what he did.

I think this a case of "all DUI caused deaths are vehicular homicides but not all vehicular homicides are DUI caused deaths"

One of the witness officers yelled for them to pull over to the side of the road, but the 18-wheeler accelerated and struck the motorcycle in the rear again. This time, the victim was thrown from the motorcycle and was run over by every tire on the passenger side of the truck.
Now that’s what I call compliance. More citizens should heed the officers like this.

looks like murder, the insurance co for the truck should get pay per policy max and truck company should get pounded also

Consider this possibility to explain this bizarre event.
The trucker was distracted by the other accident.
Trucker pulls up so close to the rear of the motorcycle that he can no longer see the bike or the rider beyond the massive hood of the truck.
Trucker forgets the bike is there and bumps the bike when he moves slightly forward, leading to the biker reacting with hand gestures and yells, which the trucker does not hear or recognize the source of.
Traffic begins moving, cop tells trucker to pull over. He's confused, still does not see or remember that the bike is in the front of his massive rig, puts it in low gear and starts trying to move out of the roadway. Knocks the rider off of the bike and runs him over.
This scenario is full of critical errors and negligence, but it's not the "I'm pissed and I'm running over you and your bike" scenario.

Except the distance the body is behind the truck.

Don't you think there should be something like negligent retention on the companies part before a plaintiff can dip into their pocket? Or do you support strict liability for employee actions?

Maybe the body is where the bike was when the trucker started driving forward with the traffic and at the direction of the officer. Biker fell off there and was run over. At that point, the bike is edged under the front bumper, even more out of the line of sight of the trucker, who shoves it forward as he moves.
Of course, I have no idea what really happened. But I still want to think that there is an explanation other than consciously using a semi as a weapon to run over a biker.

I ride between 10 - 12k miles a year. Never have gotten into a road rage confrontation against a vehicle. Even if you're right, you're on two and they are on four it's a retarded gamble.

The driver couldn't see the bike and I doubt he even felt it.

Your scenario is definitely a possibility, but the police report makes it sound like homicide.
If that bike is 2-3 car lengths in front of you, you can see it.

From looking at the pictures it looks like the driver was over the influence.
