Triple 0 roulette in Vegas is the worst game on the strip

Years ago at the Beau Rivage I found a cousin at about 1:00 playing craps. Said he had been there for an hour or so playing. Then I noticed that it was "Crapless Craps". I asked him how it was different and how to play and he glazed back at me and said he had no idea what I was talking about. Good times.

I lost $20 at the MGM Grand in 2001 and haven’t gambled since. Can’t risk losing another $20.

Roulette was fun as hell back when they had $.25 roulette with $1.00 min bet. $40 could last hours! But I always played a portion of the wheel like 5, 20, 32, 17, 7. And I’d put multiple chips on and around the 20 & 17. Good times back then.

Twenty years ago, Vegas had cheap buffets, free drinks, cheap rooms, and attainable comps in order to entice you to gamble. They now offer exorbitant food prices, border line price gouging on drinks, $100 plus cover charges, and $500 basic rooms to "entice" people to gamble.

All the while, you can legally gamble in more places than ever. It is insane that this business model actually works.

Long ago I came up with the Martigale. Obviously I didn't, but at the time I didn't realize it already was thought of and had a name. (Ironically im French lol) As I got older I've seen so many dummies use black or red on roulette using the martigale, not even paying attention to there being 0 and 00 putting their odds under 50. You can also spend literally an hour or two follow and XY table of dealer card vs yours and learn what to do in every single situation to statistically even your odds in blackjack instead of rolling 48ish percent in roulette. Now they added 000?

The Indians have a lucrative deal, the average person is an idiot and there's quite a profit to be made.

I don't get how people do it. The few times I've done it I've had fun but the next week or two I'm sick about the $20 I pissed away. The most I've lost was $100 and I was miserable about it. It was money I could afford to lose but I just felt like a degen after and kept thinking how all the things I could have spent that on instead of gambling.

Have to play to have fun. I take out a few hundred, and treat it as entertainment. I'm going to play 1-2 hours. Going to enjoy myself, get drunk, and when its gone its gone. Or if I win when 2 hours is up, then great.

No different than going out to a $200 dinner

I stay away from the bastardized versions of games like that. I encountered a blackjack variant in Vegas that paid 3:2, BUT you were forced to play a $2 “bonus game” where if you hit blackjack you also got to spin a virtual wheel with numbers from $5 to $5000. In my observations, can you imagine where it always landed?

I played regular craps and blackjack and ended up winning a few hundred over 3 days.

I don’t even try to get comps anymore. And this would be after playing at a $25 BJ table for a couple of hours. They give you crap: and want you to play slots.

Gamblers don't really understand or even care about the math. People voluntarily choose to play games with terrible odds all the time. Fools and their money.

no doubt a shite 'strat' but it beats just arbitrarily throwing chips at random numbers anyway.

No, it actually doesn’t. Do the math.

In double zero roulette your strategy gives the house an edge of 5.26%.

Randomly throwing chips at the board gives the house an edge of…. 5.26%.

Playing black: 5.26%.
Playing red: 5.26%.
Evens: 5.26%.
Odds: 5.26%.
Your birthday: 5.26%.
Etc.

The only exception to this is if you played the combo of 0, 00, 1, 2, & 3. That would give the house a 7.89%

bullshite. I know for a fact that if you’re in Cherokee NC, drunk and don’t know what you’re doing you can win bigly placing bets on every red UGA player number you can recall. At least once.

If you want any chance of winning, craps and blackjack is the only two games you should play (and of course holdem because you are not playing against the house).

What gets me is the amount of people who will sit there and play slot machines. Other than getting really lucking and hitting something big, the only way to win is to cash out the second you go above the amount you put in.
