Just checking in to let y'all know Frisco, Texas, ain't too shabby despite this unfortunate event.

That's former LSU Tiger and current Texas Ranger on assignment Josh Smith at first base.

And yes I have my feet up.

Did not know that Frisco ISD is the 10th largest school district in the country with a operating budget of $650+ million.

Seems like ‘Melo had access to unlimited resources and unlimited opportunity.

But cut short at age 17 because he somehow couldnt NOT stab sombody in the abdomen at 10:30 am under a ez-up tent in front of 100 witnesses.

It was simply too much for him and no amout of resources could have prevented this from happening.

If you lack the impulse control to not stab somebody in at a 10:30 am before a track meet then you got to be locked up. Theres really no way around that fact.

Why does one subset of American males under 27 commit crime at such a higher rate? What does the AMA textbooks say on that?

I wouldn't mention these two in the same breath. Kyren made a stupid and tragic mistake that cost someone else their life. It was an accident.

Paid liars to create some made up sad back story of racist abuse/bullying toward poor little future doctor Karmelo

Maybe it was diff in the 90s growing up but we tended to dodge our bullies and stay clear as much as possible.

"Good thing hearsay isn't allowed into evidence."
--------
Statements by the defendant are not hearsay.

And neither are statements introduced to prove state of mind.

Correct

Ventura said Metcalf had a stab wound on the left side of his chest. The knife perforated the bone at the center of his chest, perforated the sack that surrounds his heart, and penetrated the right ventricle of his heart. She noted the stab wound was 2 inches in length and was "gaping." It was not survivable, she said.

Below is so sad. Anyone who believes Austin was at fault or even partially at fault just pisses me off. Frisco kids are having to learn on fly how to deal with some the thugs pushed in since the summer of love and the woke teachers minimizing their thug behavior. A student getting murdered at a school event or on school property is just unfathomable to me thinking of the FriscoISD 2 of our kids attended. Despite the increase in commute times we moved there to avoid trashy thugs like Anthony being at the same school as our kids.

Dr. Elizabeth Ventura, the Collin County chief medical examiner, took the stand. Metcalf's parents and other members of the Metcalf family chose to leave the courtroom.

I will never understand why black youths are so desperate to go back to the hood their parents worked so hard to escape. The Anthonys were a solid upper middle class family in a nice area. They put him in a position to go to a good school -- a wealthy school. He was supposedly a good student and an athlete, but for whatever reason, he wanted to be something his parents actively worked hard to escape.

My Mom came from the Mountains of Appalachia and Dad was a military brat with a great family but poor. They worked their asses off to give me and my siblings a great life, put us in great schools, saved and paid our way through college, had a beach house (back when the Redneck Riviera was cheap), ski vacations over Christmas break, etc. Probably a very similar experience to the Anthony family's lifestyle.

I appreciate my Appalachian heritage but at no point in my life did I look at my trailer park, no heat in the winter, cooking meth, just got fired from a chicken plant cousins and say to myself "That shite is aspirational. I want to be that one day."

That isn't the case with young black kids from affluent families. They want to be hood when they have only visited.

From the Internet:

Statements made by a defendant outside of court to a witness are generally admissible and are legally not barred by the hearsay rule. Under American law—specifically Federal Rule of Evidence 801(d)(2)—these statements are classified as Statements of an Opposing Party (historically known as "party-opponent admissions"). Because they are categorized as an exemption to the hearsay rule, the prosecution or opposing party can freely introduce them, provided the witness heard the statement firsthand.

It took a while, but it finally happened.

You people are the absolute worst. We get it. You support the killing. Just come out and say it. At this point you might as well also admit you sent money to KA's go fund me. Your mindset fits the stereotype.

Probably because it’s a mindset. A lot of them are raised to blame everyone and everything and not take responsibility for their lives. Plus whatever it take to make the quick cash.

Well, yes, that is a given next step.

Reading through the thread, another item that pisses feminists like her off is the fact that society is still doing silly things like training young MEN to be leaders. In this case, what really pisses her off is that a young white boy was put in charge of this specific space. She made several comments about how he wasn't smart enough for something like this, since she clearly knows him so well.

People like that are why we will NEVER progress as a society.

Defense calls more witnesses today, right? Do we know if they expect to finish up today?
