Progressives do. They are always the smartest people in the room and they are happy to tell you. I used to associate with people like this daily. It got tiring really quickly, especially when they would do something really stupid, then fail to be accountable, which is another core tenant of their ideology.

I haven’t heard anything about the number of witnesses to be called.
I do question who they will call because they don’t dare put Karmelo on the stand and I can’t think of how many other people would significantly impact the case.

No, just white nationalists, which is what the media is doing and so is the moron in this thread without realizing it.
The media did the same thing with the Nowak kid that was killed by police in the UK. The only American MSM articles on sites like MSNBC and CNN stated he was "far right", so he deserved to be killed over a false accusation of racism.

In all honesty, he probably should have copped a plea from the very beginning. His idiot family and race hustling supporters have walked him right into the hands of a jury where his fate could be life in prison if not football numbers.

From what I read, the last defense witness was a disaster for them on cross examination. Basically the prosecution got him to admit that Karmelo was the aggressor, could have left at any time, and that he didn't believe Karmelo was in any immediate threat of great bodily harm.
Jury got to think about that all day yesterday.
Not sure how many they are calling, but there is essentially no case for them. They have to get the jury to believe that the use of deadly force was justified and they can't, outside of Karmelo testifying and making the jury believe. And there is no chance of them doing that.

That only gets them to a hung jury and not an acquittal IMHO.
Texas law here is that it has to be unanimous either direction to get a conviction or acquittal.
A hung jury is just a holding action by them IMHO as the DA will retry the case based on the strength of the evidence if it hangs.

Oh, trust me, I know. It’s sickening in every way and honestly I’ve avoided the local news because that’s all they’re talking about.

I’ve got a four year son (blonde hair blue eyed) and when this happened I immediately started looking to move back to the area I grew up that is still to this day 98% white.
We are closing on our new house in said area the 24th of this month and seeing this trial and how the blacks are supporting this piece of shite gives me further proof my wife and I are making the right decision for our boy.
I have had ENOUGH of this shite and this culture.

Nope. In today's world, you gamble on getting ONE juror like the morons in this thread that are sticking up for the murderer. All you need is ONE RST on the jury that would gladly let him walk as revenge for daring to have a strong, young man (especially a white one) be trained to lead anything....even if it is a tent at a track meet. Can't do that. That's horrific and racist and anyone who advocates for that should be stabbed in the chest in front of their friends and family.
If I am a scumbag defense lawyer, that is what I would do too. And I think the gamble will pay off. Like I said earlier in the thread, IF he goes to jail, it won't be for long and then he will be a progressive hero for the rest of his life.
