Texas rarely grants parole for a convicted murderer at their first hearing, and they aren’t eligible for another 5 years. Likely Karmelo serves a solid chunk of his next 35 years in the TDCJ.

Let's hope so. This fricker doesn't deserve to have any ounce of a regular life or youth after he gets out of prison.

The seemingly light sentence appeases the activist crowd after a guilty verdict such that they vacate from our pristine, affluent neighborhood and this story quickly dissipates from the public eye as a result....

Still looks like your neighbors dropped the ball. frick the activists

I wonder if the jury was aware of this 50% time served parole rule

In Texas you have to serve at least half. Unless he wins on appeal, he's likely stuck in there for 17+.

I just gained a lot of respect for that man.

Him rushing out to forgive KA right after it happened never set right with me. But I’m a fire and brimstone, flood the world, turn cities to ash kinda Christian, not a turn the other cheek one. I’m one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. Do anything for a friend. But I also have a penchant for vengeance and retribution against those that commit evil acts.

the man does have another child and family. anything he said that was inflammatory could have really caused trouble in the long term for his family who I am sure is ready for some sort of nromalcy after all of this.

I'd love to have an honest conversation about how even in a cut and dry case like this some people just can't admit this guy's guilty.

Like is it racism, lack of intelligence, different set of rules, mental block what?

And not only do they believe it privately, they're shouting it from the rooftops so everyone knows.

This whole situation is fricking disgusting. We have a large segment of our own population that has allowed themselves to be manipulated into thinking this is a white and black issue instead of a right and wrong issue….

I have no clue how to fix this other than somehow trying to get a hold of our antagonistic media that provokes all this shite. So sick of the ignorance

Agreed. But he could have said nothing. Immediately forgiving that murderous shitstain was just not something I could have ever done.

Maybe he's a better man than me. I don't know. I'm OK with my way. Extreme violent reckoning against those that harm the innocent, prey on the weak, and commit evils. The world doesn't need people that we can try to rehabilitate. Worms gotta eat too.

it's why when posters in the latest immigrant murdering an innocent native UK citizen threads say, "We're only 10 years behind them" it's hard not to agree.

Its a cultural mindset

They REALLY believe that if someone touches you, you can kill them.

That is VERY apparent if you've spent any time on twitter. They repeat it again and again.

Any news on if the Metcalf family is going to try to sue for all those funds that were used for cars and a nice house?

She's also faking being a part of that entire subculture. She went to prestigious private colleges and law school.
