If all the evidence is against KA, why is his team so confident and wouldnt entertain a plea? Has to be because they're playing the race card and trying to get just 1 to say NG

There is a difference between an unlikely outcome being possible and the football spiking by the ignorant masses because Metcalf might have pushed Anthony before he was ruthlessly murdered.

We just watched someone chase someone down and shoot them and get acquitted. The question isn’t whether or not he “did it”, we know he stabbed him, his defense is that he did it out of self defense. If the defense can prove that to one of the jurors then you have an issue of conviction.
I personally think he was the aggressor and did it maliciously, I haven’t seen any videos or anything. Guilty imo

I do not know if a plea deal was offered, it may not have been.

And that's why the prosecution is putting on a parade of witnesses who were under or near the tent saying Karmelo was the aggressor

Okay but that's not a not guilty verdict. That's a hung jury.
Maybe in the meantime someone will intimidate the prosecutors into not retrying? I imagine the public outcry would be massive.
I don't see a path to a not guilty verdict in this trial, certainly not with this judge and jury.

NG or guilty has to be unanimous under Texas law.

This has been the play since the day it happened because it’s the only hope they have with all the witnesses and video being squarely on the prosecution’s side. It’s why the race baiters inflamed it so much after it happened

If you’d use a little reading comprehension I wasn’t comparing cases I was responding to someone saying “he stabbed him so he’s guilty of murder”. I’m trying to explain that just because someone kills someone doesnt always mean a jury will convict of first degree murder. Sheesh

Ignoring that Anthony may have instigated situation and push or the actual force of any push or redirect of Anthony by Austin at best this legally justified pushing back to maybe a punch not immediate deadly force.
Some including the defense attorney seem to be ready to state that being told to leave the Memorial tent area when it’s not a o% chance that a student does not stop by other tents, when it was raining and poor Anthony’s school didn’t have a tent (which is strange as they put them up rain or shine unless it blew over temporarily or damaged), or when Anthony may have known a student from Memorial helps to show Austin was bullying Anthony or just doing it because of race.
If Austin had gone to Centennial’s tent area, told Anthony he needed to leave, and pushed Anthony deadly force by Anthony would still not have been justified.
