Will be in Tokyo and Kyoto.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I've heard the shower situation in Kyoto can be a little annoying for anyone over 6 feet. True?

That's a pretty elaborate brag just to tell us you're tall

I'm jealous. Take pictures and eat lots of good food.

Got really drunk one night studying abroad and booked a long weekend trip to Tokyo. If you're interested in some tours, I booked some via Viator.com. First one was Tokyo Morning Sightseeing Tour and I saw Tokyo Tower and some other cool things around the city. Next was Tokyo Night Tour with Japanese Dinner, where it's a completely different perspective with all the lights in the city. Basically times square all over.
Last was the Mt Fuji, Lake Ashi and Bullet Train Day Trip from Tokyo. This tour was the most memorable as it was actually possible to see Mt. Fuji (apparently it's something like <100 days a year that you can see it). The bullet train experience made me realize how shitty trains are in the US.

I thought so too... But we only had a few dudes from DC and he seems to be well informed on the area.
But now that you're concerned, he's on my OFFICIAL radar

You'll be fine in the shower.
The space will be small. Imagine the shower and bathrooms on a cruise ship.
What to do? What do you like? Maybe a Giants game, if the season has started.
Roppongi area in Tokyo.
Enoshima to see Buddha statues. Mt. Fuji area.

Not concerned, per se. The guy just has some odd posts. But then again, I guess we all do.

They are huge art fans there. It is customary to give them some form of art as a gift. May I suggest this picture

Tokyo was very clean, hardly any trashcans around the city. Here's some pics from when I was there in 2010.
