I’d bet anything this was a local Rec league game and not “travel” ball. Not that it doesn’t happen in the travel league circuit but these types of brawls are more commonly seen at the Rec level type games.

When I was playing little league the family of both teams started fighting because the other teams coach changed the batting order mid game.

When I was in the Navy I was on Shore Patrol in Rota Spain.Base had Little League,one Saturday we got sent to ball field for fight.Got there,dads on one team fighting dads on other team,huge fight.Some of them quit when we got there,some we had to actually take down and handcuff.They were all sweaty,rolling around in dirt,really ugly scene.Little kids and moms all crying,I think Captain outlawed beer at ballpark after that which they shouldn’t have had in first place.

I’m sure you’re right. Never seen a 13 year old umpire at a travel ball game.

Coming back from Iraq in 1998 we “broke down” in Rota Spain. Was so pumped to go out and enjoy the night. Took a shower. Decided to lay down and take a nap to regroup/refresh and due to the fact we had worked 4 weeks of 16 hour days in 115+ degree temps, laying in A/C for the first time in months, my nap turned into 20 hours of sleep. Never saw one step off the base. One of my biggest WTF moments of my 8 years in the corps.

I worked on the grounds crew at a high end baseball complex back in the day. The Sheriff’s Dept. was on call to escort people out and break up fights.
