Yet Ford has thousands upon thousands of blown ecoboost egines, and still refuses to admit they are a problem.

The 6.0 powerstroke diesel might be the biggest abortion of an engine that's ever hit the light/medium duty market.

Garbage motor.

That is an ignorant take. It makes it sound like it is an engineering/design issue which it isn't it is a manufacturing issue.

This would have been more accurate:

Garbage in the engine*

Wow, a company admitting quickly there are problems and fixing them. GM denies denies denies.

My dad said it best when he told me “I want a truck built by a man that is ready to kill himselt if there’s a problem”

Toyota is the best manufacturer on the planet in terms of building the best product and standing by it. They get it wrong sometimes, but don’t hesitate to make it right.

You had to know that was how they would fix it. Go buy one now.

Wonder how long it will take to fix each truck?

Do they give rentals in situations like this?

Eventually they’ll perfect it and it’ll be bulletproof.

I thankfully avoided the recall. They didn't really have any on the hybrid versions. Hopefully nothing pops up but for now I love it, thing runs like a scalded dog and pulls great. Much stronger and better towing than my old ecoboost.

That’s only because it is a safety recall and justification was that the hybrid trucks could drive out of harm’s way on battery power in an engine failure situation.

This is likely coming. They weren't included because they still motive power in the event of a failure, but I would suspect those engines are all made on the same assembly lines.

Take note Ford & GM.

To their credit, they have probably long since forgotten how to deal with widespread main bearing failures. It’s been unheard of in a new engine. It just doesn’t really happen very often except for Toyotas.

This is just wrong. It’s like an old wives tale.

Motor: a machine, especially one powered by electricity or internal combustion, that supplies motive power for a vehicle or for some other device with moving parts

Ford had to boost their reserves for warranty work on 2016 through 2021 f150s.

The only problem is that Ford said they still don’t have a fix for the issues.

Don’t forget that engine was subsidized by the DOE too.
