Stand up thing to do. Hopefully Toyota truly has the issue resolved.

Wow, a company admitting quickly there are problems and fixing them. GM denies denies denies.

This is why people stay with Toyota/Lexus. When they have an issue they own it.

These are on 2 and 1 year old models?

What company wouldn’t fix this?

I’m not knocking Toyota I’m just saying they arent the only ones to do recalls like this.

Yet Ford has thousands upon thousands of blown ecoboost egines, and still refuses to admit they are a problem.

It’s all driven by government regulating stupidity.

Hopefully someone will end it.

It’s not that they’re addressing it, of course all companies would.

What stands out to me is that Toyota 1) didn’t waste time, and 2) is going for a full engine replacement to 100% fix the issue for all impacted vehicles rather than recommended some lesser repair.

Great job, Toyota!

It's such a huge scam. This is the reason why people are shopping for low-mileage trucks from 2015.

Garbage motor.

Eventually they’ll perfect it and it’ll be bulletproof.

They had to switch before they were ready due to the CAFE standards the Biden/Harris admin passed.

Yep, a couple months ago when Toyota stated it was working on a recall I said this is what I expected and got blasted by the Ford, GM, and RAM owners on here, then I brought up how long it's taken the big 3 to respond to major issues in their drivetrain and how they bandaid or ignore it in hopes they have sold the original owner a new vehicle by then. Toyota expects theirs to last, the others just want to sell fast.

But isn’t that what a recall is?

I had a Jeep that had a recall on the side air bags. Even shitty Chrysler offered to fix all impacted vehicles.

Cool, as soon as they stop interjecting politics into my car we won’t have to talk about politics in car threads.

It’s 100% fact that cafe efficiency changes led to this issue, whether you think avoiding climate change is worth these issues is up to you.

I agree. I wish they weren’t really involved in shite like how vehicles are made.

There is a thread about keeping politics off this board.

I wasn’t being serious.

shite like this is why it’s impossible to not talk about it.
