Toyota Tacoma vs Tundra

Going back and forth between the Tacoma and Tundra.
For those who own a Tacoma, do you wish you would have just spent the extra money and got the Tundra?
Debating on spending the extra 6-7k and getting the Tundra. Gas is not an issue. I feel like I do not necessarily need the Tundra but the extra space would be nice. Coming from a Jeep Grand Cherokee for what it's worth.
Edit: no kids for probably the next couple of years

I personally love my Tacoma but will probably get a Tundra next time around. I don't think it's really the money that persuaded me the first time as much as not needing something that big, but starting a family now I would much rather the space.

Tundra. 2013 SR5 Texas Edition Maxed out cab.
Love mine and the extra room in the back seat.

Tundra was too big for me. The Tacoma with a double cab and extended bed fits both my work and personal needs.

Just get a ram for the price of a Tacoma. People judge others with Japanese trucks

2008 Tacoma with just over 100K on it now. It's been from Pensacola to NY to VA all the while pulling a loaded Uhaul to our next duty station. Never given me one bit of trouble. Oh, and have two kids. Plenty of room. Even have driven it from MD to Savannah a number of times. Would never take a Tundra over it.

The Tundra with the off road package is a lot smoother ride. At least it as back in '03 when I bought mine. I'm still using btw.

I went from a 3/4 ton to a Tacoma. Love it. Smaller, quicker, little better on gas.

Tacoma is great. But it is not a practical vehicle for kids, especially if they need car seats.
I think this is a personal decision based on how you will use the truck. Tacoma really shines off road, and has the added benefit of a bed. I would also think the tundra has a nicer ride.
I don't wish that I had gotten the tundra, but now that I have kids I will be considering one in the future.

Current Tundra and 2003 Tundra are not even close to the same vehicle.

the room in the Tundra was my deciding factor, never had a regret going Tundra

You should get something reliable, like an Ford, Fiat, or Ram.

I owned a Tacoma and traded it in for a tundra. My reason. I have small kids and they would kick the back of my seat in the Tacoma. They can't reach it in my tundra. If it weren't for that, I would've kept my Tacoma because it was the tits

Good info about how much room the Tacoma has...it would be helpful if you let us know how many kids you have.

Never had a Tacoma but the room in the Tundra was the deciding factor. Pleased so far with the decision.

Get the tundra.
Had a 16 tacoma and traded it in for 17 tundra.
Gas milage difference is 1-2 mpgs less but you gain a ton more space inside.
If you have kids, car seats don't work too well in the tacoma. Its doable, but it was a little cramped.
I don't regret the tundra at all.

I have a 2016 Tundra and love it. Plenty room in the crew cab for two kids in car seats. I have the SR5 package and it has all I need. You can find plenty used ones in good shape and save a bit off the sticker. I like the 5.7 V8.
Gas mileage isn't great but you aren't worried about it.
I will say the F150 has more gadgets and is probably a better truck, all around. I just liked the look of the tundra better.
