JBE has been a pretty shitty jobs governor for sure.

Are any Democrat governors good at soliciting big businesses?
Is that even in their creed to care about it?

SK Ford announced a battery plant in Hardin County. Kentucky is about to overtake Michigan as America's vehicle manufacturing state.

Who is gonna buy all these little RC cars? If it was a densely packed smaller island nation, maybe.

But America is vast. The battery tech is nowhere near there I want to be able to drive farther than 200 miles before I have to recharge for hours

is JBE still gubner and do new orleans and BR have new leaders or the same ole race hustlers and crooks they always do?

no chance to get anything here until all 3 of those are corrected and it needs to be done permanently

I'd rather not poison the gulf of MS by a destroyed battery plant.

Don’t worry, the battery plant has no interest in you either.

Well what is it now? Double that?

The point is if I can’t drive from here to Wisconsin or something, it doesn’t do me much good does it?

You can. Just need a couple of 12 hour breaks at charging stations. Not that inconvenient to get a tax break.

I imagine it’ll be in or near their headquarters in Plano. Plenty of undeveloped land right off 121 and the DNT.

The cities and states that made the right investments and moves did so 20,30 and 40 years ago. Louisiana is hopeless.

No doubt Alabama plays a good game. That Mercedes plant is unbelievable.

Their goal is half of vehicles. It seems reasonable. When I was growing up, my dad had a Nissan Sentra to take to work 8 miles away or so daily. Vacations would be in the bigger car (and later a suburban) that my mom drove. Replace the Sentra with a more economical EV in this common scenario. That old school standard (not automatic) Sentra got damn near 50 miles/gallon on the highway.

People drive an F350s 5-10 miles to the plant for work daily, just to have it bake in the sun for 8-12 hours/day in the parking lot.
