Remember when people said that wasn't going to happen?

This woman's power has no bounds. The courts ain't gonna do crap, because in LA, executive power is unchecked.

Go spend your money in parishes where this isn't happening.

Like I said earlier...an assumption. They have the authority to lift all of these sanctions and refuse to do so, under the guise of public safety. Other Mayor and Governors have not been nearly as draconian and the results in regards to public health have been fine, and their economies have benefitted.

They are keeping things closed by choice. They are not being forced to keep things closed because of the mean old virus.

Why didn't she shut down all liquor sales across the city?

Why is it you can't buy a 6 pack of beer in the French Quarter, but you can at the Rouses in the Warehouse District?

Meanwhile, over in JP, no restrictions.

This woman is insane.

They are like shitty parents who are unable or unwilling to explain to their kids WHY they have implemented some rule and just default to, "Because I said so!"

When you drop a, "Because I said so," it's because you either don't have a logical reason or think you're talking to someone not important enough to waste your time giving them one.

In the case of these two, I think it's both. Not only don't they have a logical reason for continuing these shutdowns, but they wouldn't feel we peons would deserve an answer if they had one.

The problem is that there are way too many people who think like this.

They are fully bought in and engaged in this lunacy.

The question must be asked where is the OT meeting up for our annual New Orleans ATV and Dirt Bike Street Ride get together. I believe they are expecting over 5k ATV/Dirt Bike riders this weekend and they can't constrain us to just riding in New Orleans East where no one can see us.

Mask wearing is the new religion. It's a way for people to feel morally superior to others without having to put forth any effort.

I've seen people unironically say we should have to wear masks in public permanently even when covid is over. Some people are beyond saving and would rather everyone live like Bubble Boy their whole lives and welcome government mandated everything. It's sad how much these losers buy into this because they are too scared or mentally weak to have agency over their own lives

Progressive governments are systematically destroying small business.

This isn't up for debate anymore.

Not directed at waterlink...

Does this just affect bars? I assume restaurants are ok? Even restaurants with a bar?

What does she think is the difference?
