Has his LOA and nomination for both. Just lacks a DODMERB checkoff of an EKG to confirm a heart murmur he had at 2 years old is truly gone to finalize appointment.

Did his CVW at Annapolis last week. I was impressed as hell with that place. Mrs. Zwin is still apprehensive about both. Didn’t help that on her flight out of BWI last week, a fallen Navy sailor was being carried home and she watched the loading from the gate.

Will be an interesting process when we sit down to help him decide whether to take either appointment or go to a traditional school.

I haven't seen it in person, but it sure looks beautiful in photos. Annapolis is a nice town too. I bet you're a proud papa? Congrats to your boy.

Connections? Once you are a viable candidate, the visit invites are fairly common.

Go grab yourself a solid breakfast at Andy’s on Main Street in highland falls. They have grits.

West Point is beautiful. Go see Trophy Point and the Parade Grounds. The whole campus is built with gray gothic stone buildings, kind of gives off a Hogwarts Harry Potter feel.

Also try and see a football game at Michie Stadium when football season rolls around, its one of the most scenic places in the country.

Lastly check out the museum thats just off post- theres 5(!) floors of stuff that will keep you busy for a while. Next door make sure to go through the cadet experience at the visitor center. West Point is a special place- good luck to your son.

My dream for my son is to attend one of these two universities. I hope it’s something he’s interested in when he gets old enough. Good job as a parent. People don’t realize how hard those are to get into but just how set up for life they will make you.

Tell him to go to Annapolis, become a Marine Infantry Officer, get showered in poon. That’s what my recruiter told me.

Just remind him that Mobile Infantry and Fleet don't mix
