Nah, I just don't get the desire to wait when you've got a tornado warning in effect that ends right outside of town and this is the radar at 3:24 am.

When would the most likely time frame be for BR/Nola for the bad stuff?
I need an excuse to not have to drive from Nola to BR today

So this is showing that that fricker was ALOT closer than we thought.

I live right off of Richburg Rd. Which is just off of Old Hwy 11. That cul-de-sac just south of that small body of water and just east of Old Hwy 11 is where we are.

That's unsettling....

To think, how close was I to ACTUALLY missing out on the Trump presidency?

The amazing things about tornadoes, and you can look at this from either side, is that you can be just a street over from utter destruction, yet your house barely have a leaf fall out of a tree.

No idea how you slept through that

I've never seen or heard a storm like that.

Sad news out of Mississippi this morning.

Remarkable to see this kind of weather in January. Definitely watching the weather close tonight.

Apparently local Hattiesburg news warned people around 3am before the NWS was able to. William and Cary medical school was hit and may be shut down for a while.

Here's the severe outlook for the remainder of today, swaths don't include activity last night:

It doesn't look like much is setting up on the radar right now west of the current line, so I'm guessing this will be another dusk/night time development. Hopefully it fizzles out.

Showing a tornadic signature and possible water spout on radar just off the western coast of Panama City, due to make landfall between PCB and Santa Rosa. Hopefully that's not the case as that area is pretty heavily populated.
