Anyone know the last time BR & New Orleans were under tornado watches on consecutive days? How about in January?

Multiple cells starting to fire right near Longview, TX. Basically appeared and intensified into spots of heavy rain in about a 10 minute span.

Also, the tornado watch area now spans up to central AR and eastward to MS. Either the NWS is being extra cautious after last night or they're seeing clear signs of development within the atmosphere.

So, who else afraid to start their weekend drinking with shite like this approaching? Could you imagine trying to cope with evacuating to a safe place while hungover or even worse?

There is circulation west of Jefferson TX already and these cells barely existed less than an hour ago.

I will stick by what I said earlier. BR won't get near 10-15 inches of rain, unless this system moves in a more northerly direction. I just don't see anything pulling it north.

EDIT: I see at least one person takes offense at my disparagement of clownshows.

This cell is one to watch, it is in a pretty good environment based on SPC meso analysis and is currently all alone
