You and I likely just voted for the same president, but politics has completely fried your brain.

She may have been kinda joking about the Jeffrey thing (although I don't think she was, and I believe she did just that), but she 100% doesn't believe that fetus = baby, and 100% wants to be able to abort it at her whim. Now, I'm not offended by that (though I disagree with it), but she was definitely not "just joking" IMO.
Of course not. She was using an off color form of humor to make a larger point about culture and politics. The same as bill burr did with his abortion and cake baking joke.

It’s what comedians do. Sometimes they do it well and sometimes they don’t. It’s not worth the sky screaming melt in the OP, imo.

Maybe the Jeffrey part was a joke, but she very clearly doesn't believe that the fetus inside of her was a baby, and very clearly wanted to be able to abort it if she wanted to.
Well, at the heart of the abortion debate is a disagreement about life beginning at conception or consciousness and whether or not the potential for personhood is due the same moral consideration as a conscious person. The "is a seed a tree?" argument.

It seems to me, that if she did actually consider it a baby, it would place her in a far flimsier moral position, not a superior one.

I'm not arguing for either side. I don't have a strong position on early-term abortion but lean heavily pro-life. But it's helpful to understand an opposing argument when making your case against it. One of the most effective ways to poke holes in someone else's logic is to attempt to build the strongest possible argument in support of their position. That allows you to intuitively understand where the argument is weakest.

This is what happens when it becomes an issue to call people out.

People lose the understanding of things you shouldn’t say in public

All these "edgy" females are part of the tribe. I know nothing about this chick's act but I can guarantee part of it is shitting on Christians.

I bet you decry cancel culture bullshite, yet you get offended over a comedian telling a not-so-great joke.

I would think taking away the freedom to tell a tasteless joke would be a hell of a long fall into madness.

By the way, Colbert claims to be a good little Catholic who taught Sunday School? Shouldn’t he have kicked her right the frick out for saying something this abhorrent against Catholic doctrine?

If he was teaching Sunday school, it was to diddle little kids. He has the look….

She is sad. Ashamed. Possibly psychotic but most likely just dead inside (stop).

But this is an interesting example of the far reaching consequences of liberals taking very emotional issues and making tools of them. This issue is so complex because we are rarely having the same conversation: “abortion is murder” and “mother’s health” or even “reproductive rights” are not exactly intersecting arguments. Now, “states rights” and the threat of the “national abortion ban” should have a more clear winner and loser…But the point is, it’s a topic destined to be muddied because of the entanglement of politics, morals, privacy and even personal experiences - but it’s by design. And if you want to know who designed it, go look at polls showing how important abortion is to their vote, drill down on that population and look at their voting tendencies.

Not everyone understands the messaging, and some people are just nasty. This bitch is actually trying to argue “abortion is murder.” It’s just not a strong position, simply because a 1 month old, or even 1 year old wouldn’t be able to survive without its mother. It’s not about right or wrong, it’s just not a very winnable argument in the sense that you would never persuade the other side.

This entire bit was made to troll. I hope it actually is a bit but I believe her. Some of these people are so full of hate they don’t see they expose themselves.

She's a woke comedian, not like Andrew Dice Clay or Robin Williams. None of these woke comics are funny, they're angry fricktards.
