He took his vantage off scope and moved his shooting tripod platform, and may or may not have flinched.

That fricks everything all up.

It is either incompetence of a level that should result in the firing of everyone involved, along with resignation if the head of the USSS, or it was ignored on purpose.

I usually try to live by "don't attribute malice to what can be explained by incompetence"

The level of incompetence in not having the building 400' away during a former president's rally secured is quite staggering though. Damn near Uvalde-level

For those saying that once the dust settled the media would call this what it was. They also cropped out the American flag.

“Records show he made a $15 donation to Progressive Turnout Project, a Chicago-based political action committee that supports Democrat candidates for public office and claims to advocate for "key Democratic constituencies: young people, minorities and low-income people."

“The shooter made one singular $15 donation to the liberal ActBlue political action committee on January 20, 2021 — Biden’s Inauguration Day”

For all of the people saying this dumb shite, if he was truly a Republican why did he attempt to assassinate Trump?

Maybe not all Republicans like trump?

The shooter is more likely a nutjob with a long psych history than someone with deeply held political convictions.

A lot of young libs register as republicans to vote in closed primaries. Is Pennsylvania a closed primary state? Of course it is.

I've said it for the beginning that the whole "secret service did great" narrative was a joke. It looked like a clown show out there like someone else said.

Not 20 seconds after the shots were fired, they lift trump up to walk him out because they heard "shooter is down".

Here is a crazy thought, what if there was an 2nd shooter waiting for Trump to stand up to finish the job? How about lay your arse there on top of Trump until the whole crowd has been evacuated and the whole scene have been deemed safe?

They put trump more in harms way and he's lucky to be alive despite the incompetence I saw.

Looks like the donation was before he registered as republican. I once gave money to an ex of mine, doesn’t mean I advocate for her anymore.

None of this shite really matters but it’s funny how the narrative changes after this nugget was dropped.

Let’s think this through critically:

A 20 year old true red republican tried to assassinate the only republican candidate with a prayer of taking office? Hm, that really doesn’t make sense.

A 20 year old left wing radical registered as a republican in a closed primary state so he could vote against some he hates enough that he literally tried to kill them? Yeah, that actually makes sense.

I’m not even a politically driven person and I understand how closed primaries work and why him being “registered as a republican” doesn’t mean a thing.

So, don’t be dumb.

He’s 20. His party registration and random donations made 3 years ago aren’t relevant. Check his internet history for the last 3 months to see what he was about.

It is incompetence that is so far beyond what can be explained away.

You could probably ask any 8 year old who has played Call of Duty and they would have pointed out that that roof would be a perfect sniping position.

It is inexcusable.

Not to mention they essentially got beat by what appears to be a random 20 year old goober from Pennsylvania

Imagine the damage someone that was actually trained or could actually plan could have done (you know our political opponents from other countries are watching this right now)

If this random 20 year old was able to get on the roof, someone else could have had two or three people get on that roof with more powerful weapons…the others take out the snipers at the same time, then what?

It's a pretty well known tactic to register as opposing parties in closed primary states.

So what happens when you want to vote for your candidate in a closed primary state in a race that might actually be close? Do you just keep switching back and forth? Is that allowed?
