I think this will kill in the first year or so but I wonder about the staying power in a relatively low population area.

Divide that between multiple people. If that's too expensive for you still, then you need to reevaluate your career.

I kind of get why it would be out in the burbs in a city like DC (Frankly, you would think DC would have two topgolfs).

It'll do fine. It's not like they have much competition for places to hang out in BR

I just think it’s sort of a novelty. One of those things you do once a year, maybe. The other locations are in giant or top 30 metro areas.

They built one of their "flagship" locations in Ashburn, which for anyone who lives close in like I do is like an hour and a half even during normal traffic. The old one was in Alexandria right outside the beltway, which was doable, but I believe they closed it when they built the new one, or that was the plan anyway. Ain't no way I'm driving my happy arse out to Ashburn to play Topgolf.

I'm a clumsy frick no doubt.

Yall check this shite out. Apparently this Dallas Law firm has a hard-on for suing TopGolf.

Law Firm Article About TopGolf Injuries
quote:

When word spreads that TopGolf is considering opening in a community, the local businesses naturally ask, "Will this hurt us or help us?" Given that TopGolf has seized the TopBooze spot in most every location it has opened, local taverns and restaurants may have reason to worry that their business will suffer. But local Emergency Rooms and Urgent Care Clinics can probably rest assured at a new revenue stream: injured TopGolf customers.

Yes it will be die off sometime by year two.

There will be several threads on here bragging about how great it is the first year but the demographics just do not support long term staying power.

Too many poors and a not enough people

There will probably be some die hards who go bankrupt trying to keep the please a float

Are they open (or worth going to) when it rains?

Could be a cool place to hit up when there’s a rainout at the Box.

This is so true and goes for literally anything that might improve the city which is why it’ll never get better.
