When you “ unsubscribe “ to all those shitty emails you get, they actually just sign you up to fiddy other shitty emails. Now I have even more trash emails. I feel like the kid who always was first out on musical chairs in third grade in Miss Beeson’s class at Riveroaks Elementary School.

Funny you should mention this. Right now, Classmates.com is on my shite list. I get no less than 3 emails from them a day. I have tried to unsubscribe from all of it several times, to no avail.
And you know what one of the biggest lies in the world is? When you see this:
"Please allow up to 14 days for unsubscribe requests to be processed"
horseshite.
I would hate to get the FTC involved, but they have pissed me off that bad.

Everytime I unsubscribe from something I can see that the link bounces me to like 5 other sites before I hit the unsubscribe page. Those frickers are absolutely pushing your now verified email address to other sites.

Dick's Sporting Goods, Verizon (I have never been a customer) and Kamala Harris email me multiple times per day, and I can't make them stop.

If you're using gmail, just create a filter for that email address and have it sent straight to the trash.

I have no idea how it happened, but I did eventually get them to stop several years ago. So, there is hope. Unfortunately, I can only offer thoughts & prayers as I don't remember how I got it to finally stop.

Similarly, when you get political or spam texts, replying STOP just tells them that the phone number is active so that future messages can be sent to it.

Dorothy Young. A saint. My parents divorced and she brought me home ( out of the district) every day after school to help me adjust. A lovely and loving woman. I think of her weekly.
Mrs Polk was also a hero. Barbara Polk. Loved her too. A TRUE strong black woman, not the internet kind. She really solidified my love of history and current events.
