Sanfords Grub and Pub or one of their break offs is a "Cajun" style restaurant. There's one in rapid city I think another in Denver and one in Wyoming. Food isn't too bad. They make a half chicken/half burger sandwich and it is delicious.

There is no taste to food in the mountain states. A steak is about as good as it gets.

Cafe Zydeco

I haven't eaten there yet but they were recommended by someone who posts here, I forget which board/thread.

I agree some people try and imitate a Louisiana style restaurant. Some try and put a Louisiana sounding name on the menu from time to time. It varies. I was at a Mexican restaurant in California once that was featuring Seafood Gumbo as the soup of the day. I asked a couple of questions but never bothered with it.
I have had pretty good Louisiana style food outside of Louisiana. I worked with a butcher in Rhode Island and together we made a very good andouille. It took a few attempts.

There is a Cajun restaurant that I found for my parents. 10 minutes from their house in AZ. Owners are from Baton Rouge. One of the waitresses lived down the street from where my parents had lived until the flood.

I went there Friday night with them...food was good. And my family has a place they can go to when they miss LA food.

Only place at home (HSV, AL) I will eat Cajun food is the Po' Boy Factory. The people that own the restaurant and do all the cooking are from New Orleans.

What was the name of this restaurant? There was a chef at Galatoires in BR that sucked dick and got fired, and he just recently moved out to Wyoming to be head chef in a restaurant where he's the only person in the kitchen. It sounds like the same place to me, and if so, it's probably awful

That's with any food. If you are eating something with a city/region in front, all it means is you' re not in that region.

Chicago style pizza, Memphis style BBQ, Boston clam chowder, etc. It is not unique to creole/Cajun.
