I have to look past it at work, but it does make me feel a bit differently about the person.

but a lot of these people have been coerced into adding pronouns.
On social media it is a completely done on their own

Full dismissal.
I realize many do it to "play the game". But, if so cowardly they can frick themselves.
The ones that actually buy it are a level beyond, they're dangerous to an extent.
If you can be convinced men can get pregnant, you can be led down any path.

What the hell does it mean when they have the z in front of their pronouns? The frick is a zhey, zhem? Who the hell is coming up with this stuff?
Am I allowed to use Autobot as my pronoun?

Nobody at my company puts them in email signatures, but a few put still have them in LinkedIn profiles…and there is definitely a “type” there.
I have noticed that most of the people who listed them when all this gender-fluidity nonsense started have taken them down.
Personally, I don’t care. 100% of the people on the planet (myself included) have dumb options/takes. I just put “I need to announce my chosen gender to the world” in that basket and keep it moving.

I was in federal court for a jury trial last year. The judge required every attorney to introduce himself or herself with preferred pronouns, and demanded the same of all prospective jurors. Every day, I feel like I'm drowning in a rising tide of partisan ignorance. Intelligence, talent, diligence, truth, honor, decency mean very little. It's depressing.

I prefer: NOR/MAL. or SH/IT

I kindly reply to their email with my name "not mentally ill" as my pronoun. Frick these idiots.

I'm in SaaS sales, so I see this a lot. I used to just completely disregard it and go about the generic sales process, rolling my eyes when not on camera.
But I figured out that certain "buzzwords" and phrases are more effective with the type of person who lists their pronouns in their Zoom display or email. Almost without exception, I'll know instantly what they are going to care about and what isn't a priority.
Definitely tells me a lot about the prospect right away.
Personally I think these people are silly, but I'm not trying to be their friend, I'm trying to sell them a product.

What’s wrong with pronouns?

I see it all the time working in a large organization , it’s a good filter for who I want to add to the projects I’m managing and who doesn’t get added.

Wait until you get in a video conference and someone ends their personal introduction with,
quote:I had this happen to me in a meeting with some engineers from NASA JPL.
"and my pronouns are......."

Haven't experienced this yet. That would be uncomfortable.

I have never actually met or communicated with someone who did this.
I’m sure it will be a shock to me when it happens one day.

I see it every day on work emails, and immediately know the sender is in one of two camps:
1. Millennials, gay or not
2. Older people from Cali or the NE trying to signal that they’re hip
