Those single moms conveniently leave out the part where plant worker baby daddy is sending the single mom $1500 a month in child support.

Economic downturn where you lose your job and she wants to go to college, leading her to strip to pay for school.

As a parent, I think I would just have to have a heart to heart with her. Tell her something like: "Shawty, I don't mind if you dance on a pole, that don't make you a ho. Shawty, I don't mind when you work until three, if you're leavin' with me. Go make that money, money, money--your money, money, money. Cause I know how it is, go and handle your biz. And get that money, money, money--your money, money, money. You can take off your clothes, long as you comin' home. Girl, I don't mind."

I would have to kill myself for being such a loser.

If a person has enough self-awareness to realize this to be true, I can’t help but think that they could become the person who guarantees her a stable, successful life with a loving family.
ETA: And if you say something like “I just can’t get past my demons” or something to that effect, what you’re really saying is it’s easier to be a degenerate so you’ll choose that. So in reality you’re not doing it for the kid. You’re taking the easy path. “Giving my kid a better life” isn’t about the kid, it’s about avoiding your own guilt and accountability.

Geez us!! Obviously you would want the best for your daughter. But if I were a stripper that just had a daughter. I would immediately stop being a stripper and go be a waitress. Work to get a better job either by going back to school or working hard in a company and moving up. There’s ways. Get off Drugs and alcohol first. Unless you’re a shitey person who just don’t care
ETA- I read the OP wrong but I don’t feel like changing my answer

Somebody else
I also think that my ability to be a father and protector wouldn't allow that scenario to happen either.

I mean...is she really struggling if she works as a stripper? I'm impressed already.

What kind of man would believe his raising her would lead to that? This is a bizarre statement requiring much introspection on your part. You do understand that letting another man raise your daughter is exactly what causes the aforementioned "daddy issues" you're trying avoid?
