bruh if they have 8 separate orders, you're waiting longer than 2 minutes.
well in this instance, it was just counter service, not like Subway
you just place your order then go sit down while they make your sandwich
but still...I thought I only had 1 order in front of me when I walked in

Fresh > pickled

and pay for 8 individual orders. frick those people. frick them in their stupid "oh, janet only gave me $7.25 but her sandwich is $7.39... what do i do?!?" faces
They always forget either tax or tip.

i'm more concerned that my subway sandwich maker is wearing the gloves.

I have no problem calling people out for this shite. Say something like "you know this place has a phone right?" or "ever heard of a pick-up order"? Being stupid is no excuse for doing stupid things.

You get told when you can take lunch break huh?

Then don't do it.
Most of them doing don't have much of a choice. Like the OP said, probably intern or new guy. They're just doing as they are told.

frick them
Ok, I'm sure they really give a frick what you think.

I hate it too, I think if they want 8 sandwiches then they should have to wait in line 8 times.

The separate orders thing really is bullshite. A little bit of planning ahead of time and pooling money is all that is needed. I would feel bad doing that to a coworker.

I refused to pick up food for other people a long time ago. Inevitably something is wrong with their order and they want to bitch about it rather than just shutting the frick up and being thankful someone was nice enough to pick up food for them.

I fortunately haven't had this happen to me since highschool. I remember having to tip like $10 on a $15 order to make a decent tip because some dick bag figured out the cost of what they ordered "perfectly" using the menu and refused to add money to the pot.

I'm sure the person ordering lunch for the office is not too thrilled about doing it either. Cut them some slack.
frick no I'm not cutting them slack. Stupid mother frickers ought to be smart enough to call/fax/order online and not screw everyone else over.
If I owned a restaurant, I'd limit counter orders to discourage this.

subway is a known place for multi orders. stay away from subway. /thread.
Posted on 8/5/15 at 1:12 pm to Chad504boy
Subway ain't the only place with counter service

you have to stand there with your little piece of paper ordering 8 custom fricking sandwiches.
Posted on 8/5/15 at 1:24 pm to Salmon
No the best is when they forget and actually fricking call the person while standing at the counter when they're ordering. Thank good the lady started taking other orders while that MF'er straightened it out. fricking text, write it down, shite make it up. Are you that socially unaware?

This.
I don't even tell my coworkers where I'm going for lunch so they can't ask me to get them something.

I wish I could give you 1.5 upvotes but alas, I agree. Chances are, the guy even hates being *that* guy
