Serious question: does anyone still eat oatmeal?
I buy it once a year during the holiday season to make no bake cookies and that's about it.

Key Health Benefits
• Lowers Cholesterol: Oatmeal contains a type of soluble fiber called beta-glucan. Beta-glucan forms a gel-like substance in your gut. This gel slows digestion and binds with cholesterol-rich bile acids, helping remove them from your body. This lowers your LDL ("bad") cholesterol while protecting HDL ("good") cholesterol.
• Improves Blood Sugar Control: The soluble fiber in oats slows down how fast your body absorbs sugar. This prevents sharp spikes in blood glucose and insulin levels, making it a great option for people with or at risk for Type 2 diabetes.
• Supports Heart Health: Regular intake of oats reduces blood pressure and lowers blood vessel inflammation, which cuts down the long-term risk of heart disease and stroke.
• Aids Weight Management: Beta-glucan delays stomach emptying. This keeps you feeling full longer, reduces overall hunger, and helps you eat fewer calories throughout the day.
• Promotes Good Gut Bacteria: Oats act as a prebiotic, feeding the healthy bacteria in your digestive tract. This improves digestion, supports regular bowel movements, and strengthens your immune system.
• Packed with Nutrients: Oatmeal is rich in essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants (such as avenanthramides), which help reduce cellular damage and lower chronic inflammation.

I make overnight protein oats for a grab and go breakfast on work days
Consistent way to get a good dose of protein early in the morning and it staves off any desire to snack throughout the work day because of the satiety benefits

Just be aware of Glyphosate levels. Quaker Oats is a big offender.

oatmeal on toast is a really simple, quick breakfast that I enjoy but I only have it like a dozen times a year. It aint healthy for me though because I add butter and sugar like a child.

I make my own. I use Bob's Red Mill protein oatmeal, usually a low calorie high protein milk like fairlife or whatever equivalent is available locally and I'll rotate between chocolate and vanilla protein powder.
Usually blitz the liquid and protein powder in my nutribullet then add to a container and then measure out the oats. I usually add a small amount of chia seeds, half a banana or some berries and maybe a few chopped up walnuts or almond slices for texture. Macros usually come in around 420 cals and 48g of protein and it's enough to keep me full until lunch.
