The funny part is our Women's team is so much better, pound for pound, than every other country and has been for quite some time precisely because we afford our women so much freedom.. As recently as the 90's some countries didn't field teams because they simply wouldn't let their women play.
Only in America can you shite on the country that lets you have the opportunity to voice your opinion on such a visible platform in the first place.

I don’t get the equal pay argument for a spectator sport. You are paid based on revenue generation. If you can prove that your sport generates equal or exceeding what the USMNT does, then so be it. Otherwise you’re just asking for a hand out under the guise of equality

I suggest she have a heart to heart with the ladies on the women’s soccer teams for Japan and China. (The competition) They can compare notes on salaries, perks, media exposure and women’s rights. I am sure the US will finish last on that list ........
