I also don’t categorize her load in the pic as separate work, but as tasks within the job, which is not pictured within his load.

How can you say this about "Family" ?

Most of that can be combined into "work" but that would make it look way more even.

You don't think doing laundry is the same as a full day of work? Monster

Yeah, I wouldn’t.

Point is, women normally inflate their “work” due to low mental bandwidth

Same exact boat, I work a ton and we barely get by, but I believe we are making the right decision to suck it up for a few years. Our baby is about to turn two and the blows milestones out the water and I believe it’s directly due to my wife working with her daily on educational skills.
The one worry we have is her social skills not developing as we don’t have many friends with kids the same age. From the few encounters she has had with other kids, she seems to be just fine.

They’d probably love it. Universal healthcare, free rent, commune style living where everyone pulls their own weight, vibrant lgbt culture, etc

I saw that nonsense a few days ago. The lack of self awareness required to 1. List “work” as a monolith 2. Give the man no other blocks 3. Subdivide her responsibilities into the granular 4. While also including “everything else” is insane

The Victim Olympics are a hell of a thing.

The title could only fit "everything else" or "family"

Women are like AI, unreliable noise that just complicates things. Best to avoid.

My question is always this……let’s say that I were to concede that it is a lot of work to do laundry and cook and all those other things while you’re at home all day. Let’s say that we took all of that off of your plate. What, precisely, would you then spend your day doing?

Seems like an appropriate time to dust this one off

Because there's no reason to CONSTANTLY depict white people, especially males, as some sort of pariah. Get out of your feelings and analyze what I just said because we all know it to be true.

I was a stay at home dad for over a year shite was awesome

In my (albeit limited) experience, age is a huge variable in this. I wouldn’t have traded the time I took off to be home with my son for anything, but frick me, those first six+ weeks were a lot, and he was a perfect little guy with no issues. Just felt like there were zero breaks. I would have much, much preferred being at the office than to have done that with someone else’s kid.

But now that we are pushing six months and he is no longer a little bundle of eating, sleeping, shitting, and crying that I’m afraid will spontaneously stop breathing at any moment if I take my eyes off of him, I would much prefer just take care of him.

I feel like that distinction isn’t drawn frequently enough.

I was able to stay at home when my son was four months old until he was about 16 months old.

It was the most awesome thing in my life so far.

There's really nothing on the horizon that would even come close.

My son and I are extremely close and it probably has something to do with that.
