If you want to have the honor and privilege of patrolling NBR well then you'll need to also live there. Brilliant idea.

I've been following Gary Chambers the past few days. He and his sheep don't have a clue about how the world works, do they?

Someone should mention to him that if he wants to have an impact on "his" community, he should become a police officer. Of course he would have to get in shape first, but...

Political opportunist never let a tragedy go to waste without trying to advance their bullshite causes.

Unfortunately for Chambers, BRPD has 13 automatic disqualifiers that prohibit applicants with questionable character from being processed for hire.

Limiting the hiring process to only BR residents would decrease the available applicants to nearly nothing. But what the frick do I know.

It's a great idea. They should absolutely encourage residents to apply but the it shouldn't be a requirement. I'm willing to go as far as offer incentives for residents to who do apply and get hired. Maybe give them first choice of extra duty in the area.

They are on the right track. Just need to massage the proposal a little and see if they can make it work. You never know unless you try.

Can you imagine the ramifications? "He always had it out for me because his cousin and my cousin had beef."

These people lack foresight.

Precisely. But Gary knows better, he doesn't want to be reasonable. Better for business to propose this and get rejected. Just another way whitey is keeping them down.

I don't know, Key Key here raises some valid points

KeyKey Lockett
How can you communicate effectively and police people... calm ppl down in a nonviolent manner when YOU YOURSELF have NEVER been exposed to the culture of these ppl... don't understand how these ppl live, speak, think, talk, joke, love, etc... YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THEM PERIOD... I AS A BLACK WOMAN, RAISED POOR, HERE IN SHERWOOD FOREST I CAN'T GO TO AN AREA WHERE THE PPL SPK MOSTLY CREOLE FRENCH OR VIETNAMESE POLICE THEM TELL THEM HOW TO FIX THEIR COMMUNITY... I WILL BE LOST AND CONFUSED AND LIVES WILL BE LOST... it won't work. I thought we figured this out when Christopher Columbus and the other Christian settlers tried to enforce their way of life and beliefs on the Native Americans... didn't work out so well. Smh
