Oh, you're right.
I meant to say they treat their customers like sheep and wanted them on proprietary hardware to keep them trapped in the Apple system. They were forced to adopt usb-c in 2023.

iMessage for family chat is the lone reason I have an iPhone.
I played around last summer with Samsung and Google Pixel Pro. Ran Graphene OS on the Pixel Pro. Both phones were light years beyond Apple.
I'd love to get into some Huawei products, if they were basically spyware.

He blew a lot of money on an Apple Car, and AppleTV was losing a billion a year at one point (and still is losing money but he likes the awards shows). Software quality and innovation took a nose dive under him, and now finding out hide my email was leaking main email for years by a person purposely sending an email to the alias that would bounce back to sender revealing real email address and hide my IP address could be worked around by passkey mechanism bypassing the the tunnel and allowing fake passkey checks to respond revealing real IP address (guessing real passkeys did it as well).
He was great at milking his supply chain, great at buying back $800 billion worth of stock over the past decade to prop stock up, and great at milking Apple customers’ loyalty while pushing controlled product evolution to milk supply chain instead of pushing innovation. He was great at DEI and kept it as a core while other tech companies started to get away from the summer of love BS hires.

There is a wide range of cheap to midrange android devices from a number o manufacturers. Some better than others, but at more affordable price points.
There are also flagships that are every bit as expensive as the most expensive iphones.
