I'll wear aftco shorts on a boat. Not really any other time.
You really won't catch me wearing athletic shorts outside of exercising either though. I mean, I may run to the store down the street to grab milk, but if I'm going anywhere, it's pretty much standard Khaki/Navy shorts. I feel kind of like a slob any other way.

The only thing worse than wearing cargo shorts is carrying enough shite with you to fill up all the extra pockets.

The problem with cargos is really simple. Slovenly people like them. People who are not slovenly look so when wearing them.

I don't have a problem with anyone wearing cargo shorts, but non cargo's are enough for me. 4 pockets for wallet, phone, keys and dip. Every time I leave somewhere, I just have to touch every pocket and I know I'm good to go. Rule of 4.

Well maybe I wear cargo shorts because they're comfortable and have a lot of pockets. Not because they're "in-style"

i still happily wear cargo shorts. convenience, extra pockets or cup holders are never out of style to me.
i will say i don't wear the baggy ones like i did in college. they're a little more tapered now.

I always wear cargo shorts because I can cut the front pockets out and sneak in a game of pocket pool anytime, anywhere .

I never knew they went away. I occasionally wear them, but then again I wear what I want when I want, and don't worry about validation from others about what I choose to wear. Comfort and convenience trump fashion or style for me.
