New Orleans business owners concerned about the image it portrays to visitors.
They've finally reached that conclusion? was starting to wonder if any of these people had eyes and a functioning brain.

Bourbon has been trash for as long as i can remember. Now, it's been a lawless wasteland for at least 6 years.

It appears fists started flying between two groups of women in a crowd gathered to watch an illegal car show where drivers burn rubber and do donuts.
When we were there a couple of weeks ago, the youts in the 4wheelers were doing wheelies and donuts in the middle Tchoupitoulas.
Kweens were standing around cheering them on as if it was a rodeo.

I thought removing the statues would solve this problem?

I trace the downfall of NOLA to May 4. 1970. That's the day Moon Landrieu became mayor. The city has been slowly sliding down the shitter ever since.

And to think in the Katrina aftermath NOLA had a golden opportunity and an incalculable amount of federal $ to reinvent itself....

This is virtually ALL of New Orleans proper now. My wife and my in laws would go to NO a few times a year, adults only, to go eat at a nice restaurant and have some drinks. We won't be going back to that city for a long time. NO has become NY of the seventies. The problem, is the majority black population will only vote in another black democrat as mayor, despite the obvious results, and the overwhelming majority of others are white guilt liberals who think Destroya is doing a fine job, and its all those damn republicans fault for not falling in line.
NO will not survive this round of depravity. I just wonder where all the leftists will flee to next, when the culture and the corrupt government gets worse (if that's even possible).

New Orleans Ladies
A fighting style that will drive you crazy
And they hold your weave so tight
Smack your cheek when their anger’s burning.
Them Creole babies
Thick and brown and downright lazy
And they roll just like the river
A fat-assed twerk that will last forever.
All the way from Bourbon street to Esplanade..........

Same thing is happening right now in Atlanta. 14 shootings over the weekend, most of them in commercial areas. It's getting completely ridiculous.

Hasn't the area at Bourbon and Canal, especially the beginning stretch of Bourbon near the Crystal, been shitty for quite a while? It's not like it suddenly started spiraling into chaos.

Same here. We saw a group of 50 of them coming through the French Quarter. They had zero concern for authority.

That's what happens when your city leaders focus on "restorative justice" and decline to prosecute damn near anything involving minorities.
When you stop upholding law and order in the name of social justice, you end up with chaos.

Our wonderful, retiring mayor called it a "COVID crime wave." Absurd response.

We just need some SLAM poetry and midnight basketball to solve this
