1. Was taught that milk is good for you. Then realized what sugars do to a body.
2. Was taught that marijuana is bad for you. Then realized God’s medicines are in more places than pharmaceutical profit & loss statements.
3. Was taught that Christianity is the only way to the Lord. Then I moved, traveled and met people around the world. Learned that religion is more man-made than not. Skip the middle man. Go straight to God. You to God. You…God. Or Gods, possibly. Where I’m at today. Not quite opposite but a good 90 to 125 degrees different.
4. Lastly, if I step on a crack in the sidewalk, my Mom’s back will be fine.
Oh how impressionable (vulnerable) we are at certain stages of brain development and context of life.
Today, I believe political social media will break your Mama’s back!

When I was young, I didn’t think that Democrats were completely fricking evil.
Now, I know better.
Now, I know better.

Used to think that karma was real and that being a major college football coach was a great job
Now I’m not sure about either

think one of the more universal ones is thinking that people have it all together, that there is some switch where they magically reach a level of competence in career, parenting, marriage, social life, etc. such that everything they're doing is smooth and relatively without self-doubt by virtue of experience
This is a really good one.

When I was young
I never needed anyone
And making love was just for fun
Those days are gone

And making love was just for fun
Those days are gone

The left is motivated by love, as opposed to hate.

That the government really was to help us and protect us.
And that it armed services leaders wanted what was good.
Now I think how dumb and fooled I was.

In my teens “I’ll always want big mud grips, loud exhaust, and other accessories on my truck”
Me now “I prefer to keep it stock for a quiet smooth ride and it will retain its value better”
