My girlfriend’s 19 Cherokee Trailhawk has auto stop-start, and it has a nice big button front and center on the dash to turn it off. I’ve stopped worrying about it, though, because I can foresee a time in about 10 years where you won’t be able to turn it off anymore. May as well get used to it.

Also, it disables itself if the exterior temp is below 45, so here in Montana, that means it doesn’t ever do it for half the year.

That start/stop shite is one of the worst ideas ever to reach actual production.

Maybe you're too young to know about automatic seat belts.

my favorite is the radio style knob that shifts the trany in gear.

its an electrical switch that will break or short out and at some point its gonna shift on its own while you are driving down the road and will destroy shite

I also dislike cars that by default shut off every time you stop at a traffic light.

Preach brutha. It's hard to roll coal with the auto shut off.

I try to always be open to change if it's good change.

Nothing is perfect. Cars today are amazing compared to even 10 years ago. I find that things I didn't like at first have become second nature to use.

Most cars that don't have knobs for the radio actually have buttons on the steering wheel. It's actually easier to use while driving.

The Mustang does have an auto engine stop, but it's to shut the engine down after long idles, not at red lights.

His stopped any time you were stopped for longer than 5 seconds. Freaked me tf out Bc I thought I had stalled. Nope. Bitch picked right back up once shifted into gear.

The active cruise control function where the car will automatically brake without warning. Scared the shite out of me the first day or two until I figured out how to turn it off.

TACC is one of the best features on a car IMO.

One of the least favorite aspects of my current car is I don't have it...without paying a whole lot to activate it.

I miss wing windows and floor vents.

I don't miss the high beam floor button.

Dang, that stinks.

It's such a useful feature when you're in bumper to bumper traffic after work.

I hate not having a knob to turn when I want to change the radio station

Since I’ve used Amazon music and Pandora premium for the last few years, listening to the radio seems outdated. It’s just the same bad music played in a loop, broken up by tons of annoying commercials.

Salt was hell on those things in the winter for daily drivers but I actually liked it on my 1970 W30.

Didn't drive it much at night though so it took some searching around with my foot to find it.

You should have just gotten a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. It's just as nice on the inside as the RDX, still has the physical buttons and knobs you want for controls, and it's easy as hell to turn off any of the safety features you don't want to use.
