I'm embarrassed for them.

It’s fine in sports where it’s clearly mostly a way to get pumped up.

When they’re doing it in the legislature, especially after all of the “anti-colonialism” of the past decade, it becomes something else.

Physically intimidating your opponent in a physical competition makes sense; physically intimidating your political opponents should be met first with condemnation and then with reciprocal physical threats.
