There’s been an invasion/emergency. Where are you going to get out of dodge?

Woke up last night from a bad dream that the Koreans had invaded Louisiana.

Now, I’ve been up since 3:00am thinking of my plan and what I would do if shite hit the fan. Global conflict, looming economic strife, civil unrest are reasons why I’ve decided to make a plan.

Have you considered what you would do?

I don’t think staying in your home would be best, gotta get out to the country. Any urban areas are doomed. I’d loot the stores on the way out to my hunting camp and hunker down. Also, I might have to leave my family because they would slow me down and probably get me killed. Only the strongest survive the apocalypse.

Sometimes it takes an event like this to shock you and make you want to get prepared. Thinking of putting together one of these bug-out packs. I guess it’s better to have it and need it rather than need it and not have it.

Thought I’d share this information if anyone is interested in getting prepared before it’s too late!

I'm gonna need a crossbow or bow added to that list. Way better than a rifle when trying to stay undetected. Plus you can make your own arrows.

Yeah, I’m not leaving my family to fend for themselves

Waterproof matches don't last as long as flint.
You also need an axe or wire saw.

You never leave your family behind.

National forest near me. There is plenty of stuff up there that I may need once my supplies start dwindling and it's spread out enough to where the chances of ever running into anyone are slim (except on any supply gathering missions). Plenty of game, fish, and fresh water.

I'd need to get my cardio up because the slopes up there are no joke in spots.

The North Koreans are going to storm the beach at Grand Isle ?

They'll get a speeding ticket in Golden Meadow.

So you are leaving your home and family?

1. Location of your home? I may go there.

2. Wife's O-T rating? Pics? You know the rules.

Recommendation is that your bag should weigh no more than 1/4 your body weight.

That’s for a bug out bag.

most of us don't make it more than a week or two.

If you think you know of a safe place there's a couple thousand other people who are probably thinking the same thing.

Relying on game would not be viable for more than a couple months if even that long. Historically in countries that experience drastic civil unrest edible wildlife populations plummet quickly. You're not the only person who knows how to hunt and a lot of folks would be learning it quick. Also, the gloves would be off as far as method of take and such. Folks would form clans and be driving deer in to rivers and such.

My wife and family have been annoyed with me lately because I keep asking what is our plan if Putin and Biden get into a missile pissing match?

I think I’m getting in my car and just heading south into remote Mexico and away from the city

I’m going to stay right here. I have 100 acres and enough guns and ammo to defend ourselves. Also have a garden, good hunting for food, and a pond and creek running through the property that I can set up a filtration system to get potable water.
