TD always has the inside scoop. This place is amazing

I am sorry this happened to your friend. People tend to be flippant here about any number of atrocities. Don’t take the inhumane shitbaggery personally. The default setting on the OT is to ridicule victims and concoct hare brained theories to excuse the inexcusable . Which is why a guy setting the record straight as you have done is important .

I would be hard pressed to say which of my friends are my
"best friend" and there's really not a need to do it. Ranking friends does seem a bit girly.
It really does. All of mine would be my groomsman and the one I’d make the Best Man would simply be that because he’s followed me around the world and seen the same crazy shite I have. While TigerPaul sees it as a weakness to cry in a friend’s arms, it isn’t. You’ll go crazy if you don’t. Lord of the Rings realizes this.

I’m sorry I got to question the OP among multiple of the other victim’s friends, family, and the actives: why didn’t they go to the police? It’s been like 6 months. Sorry, this has to be accounted for. I’m just envisioning any of my friends on the floor after drinking bleach struggling to breathe and have a hard time imagining I wouldn’t have left and gone to the police.

I generally have good friends and acquaintences and leave it there. People come and go in your life, ranking them for a moment is just busywork.

I get it, man- I really do.

It’s just there seems to be such a lack of humanity in this story. I can’t imagine at least a third of my pledge class and a third of the actives resigning if this story was true and happened in my time. Pike is bad, but this is shockingly cruel even for them.

Came across Colonel Hapablap posts while looking.
Dude was an Electrical Engineer who listed his location as "Mostly Harmless"
Gave me visions of the wierd hiker guy they found in Florida in the last year or so.

Close, but that girl had been out of college for a long time. She was married at the time to a well known LSU baseball pitcher from the late 90’s. Not sure if they’re still married

Men don't have "best" friends. That is for women to put friendship in tiers and talk shite about their other "friends". Don't be a woman. Sit down and let the adults talk now.
Tf is this? I have different friends of course. I'm cool with many people. There's plentyof guys who I wouldn't mind going to the bar and watching a game with. I have my guys who I like to get together with and play basketball sometimes. I have my church friends who push me spiritually, or my gambling friends for when I feel like placing some money on a couple games.
But for someone who I genuinely trust and know, a friend who knows almost everything about me, a friend who I would trust to watch my kids, a friend that I have cried in front of, a friend who if they fell on hard times and lost their home, I would allow them to stay at my place no questions. asked. There are extremely few friends who would fit in that category, for me personally.
So, yea, I do have tiers for different friends. But I would wager majority of all people on earth do as well

What he doesn’t understand is your best friend is someone you let your vulnerabilities around and vice versa. If my best friend and his wife die, I will find myself at least to protect their kids until I can get them to an uncle or grandparent and violently so. Sorry I’ll gladly die to ensure that. A best friend you trust everything with. It’s sad he doesn’t understand that.
