There Was A Fight At The Pick Up Line At School Today

quote:
According to the incident report, Collins was asked by school personnel to have an unoccupied truck removed from a lane used by parents and others to pick up their children. The truck was parked in front of the gym, blocking the flow of traffic in the child pick-up lane.
quote:
Collins said in the report he got to the truck as a man was coming out of the gym with two children. The deputy asked the man if that was his truck. Collins said the reply was “What does it matter to you?” Collins told him he needed to park in the gym parking lot if he had to go inside to get his children and not block the traffic flow.
quote:
According to the report, the man told Collins: “F _ _ _ you, I don’t have to do anything you tell me to do.”
quote:
Collins then told the subject, identified in the report and booking information as Billy Wayne Rhodes (pictured), 44, of Batesville, that he was under arrest. Collins said Rhodes then got into his truck and slammed the door in the officer’s face. When Collins opened the door and reached in to get Rhodes, the deputy reported Rhodes jerked away and slammed the truck into gear with the truck’s front and back doors still open and the children inside with their seat belts unbuckled.
quote:
Officials say as Collins started to handcuff Rhodes, a physical fight started. The altercation, which was described in the report as “lengthy,” ended when Rhodes told Collins “he gave up,” according to the report.
quote:
Collins said he then dragged Rhodes over to his handcuffs, which were lying on the ground after being dropped during the scuffle, and cuffed Rhodes. Collins then placed Rhodes into his patrol unit and radioed dispatch that Rhodes was in custody. That was about the time other deputies got there. One officer assisted Collins with a cut the deputy suffered on his left ear, the report said.
quote:
Rhodes has been charged with three felonies: first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree battery, and fleeing. He has also been charged with three misdemeanors: disorderly conduct (using abusive and obscene speech in a public place), reckless driving, and resisting arrest.

So none of the charges have anything to do with his truck being parked there.

Ultimately trashy, but reeks of terrible police.

Sounds like the truck was impeding the flow of traffic for even longer. Great job!

So when is it Iegal to arrest someone for using the 1st amendment. Where in state law does it say that it’s illegal to tell words to an officer? I mean sure he resisted arrest only because they are arresting him for something that isn’t illegal. Cops are the scum of the earth. It takes 6+ years of school to defend the law but only 6 months and some donuts to enforce the law.

I was raised to respect the law. Billy Ray got what was coming to him. I doubt he was father of the year before this happened.

Should take his kids away.

If he was a boot licker he could have walked away and driven home.
Instead he got his arse protected and served.

No, you were raised to lick boots.
The founding fathers would spit on your dumb arse if they could.

Telling a police officer frick you in front of a bunch of kids and then not following a lawful order to remain outside of the vehicle is disorderly conduct which is plenty to arrest someone on in that situation. The guy brought the rest on himself.
Hey is this your truck? I need to you to park in the parking lot to go inside from now on, you’re blocking the flow of traffic.
Oh shoot! Sorry about that, I’ll park over there from now on.
That would have been the end. It’s not boot licking, it’s not being a piece of shite and setting a decent example for your children. Who the hell knows what they went through because of this shite. It’s lucky he didn’t throw them out and kill them.
