Meh...I can see why he did it this way even if I wouldn't have. He happens to be an attorney but even without that, it is good to have a record of a letter for liability reasons or else it is your word vs theirs.

Chances are 100% he didn’t because if he had his dumb arse would have put something about previously speaking about it in the letter.
Yea I was thinking the same thing.
I don't agree with the letter first as he did, but maybe he already sensed they were unreasonable people so he just skipped a step.
No reason to get pissed at the guy without knowing the full details.
Her posting this letter on Facebook to get the mob after him kind of proves he may have been correct that she wasn't reasonable.

Just pointing out how crazy it is to get upset at someone protecting what is theirs. Sounds like the guy already tried to warn them and they are still infringing on his property rights.
If you move next to someone with kids and you make a big deal because the kids were playing football and the ball hit your fence that's just being an a-hole. Unless a kid is at the fence and keeps throwing the ball as hard as possible in the same area, the fence should not get damaged. If it does then that's on the owner for getting a cheap arse fence. And from the picture, it looks as if the person complaining as already damaged an area on their side.. That's just being an a-hole.
Growing up in a neighborhood where everyone had fences, balls etc, etc hit fences all the time and it was never once an issue.

Cool. I am sure that would fly in court. That's like blaming rape victims for wearing sexy clothes, moron.

It doesn't give anyone the right to damage it more. By that logic, if I see a car with a small dent in it then I can put more dents in it and that should be OK since there was one small dent already.
God...you are fricking stupid.

I’d say the letter says more about him than the woman posting it.
This was something that could have been handled by a discussion with the mother in person. Doing it in a letter like this may be good for liability reasons to show a history but it makes you look like a fricking douche bag if the damage isn’t enough to warrant the letter.

I disagree.
My dog got out and shite in the neighbor's yard. They sent me a letter. A nice one but still. I didn't get pissy and post it on Facebook because I was in the wrong. I also didn't get pissed because they chose the letter vs coming to my house. It is what it is and I respect that they just don't want someone infringing on their property rights even if it was by pure accident.

I'd give myself away if I divulged that. Let's just say I don't do dog bites.
Im just guessing we already know or know of one another. But I can understand why you wouldn't want to admit to that

If a kids K2 football damages his douchebags fence the letter should be addressed to the fence company.
