So why the threatening letter over such a trivial issue? Why not walk over and express your concerns like a man, instead of sending your letterhead like a prick attorney? Was he born without legs?

I agree that social media is a stain, and most could use some training to not make it such a toxic place. But, he wasn't even competent enough with his offline actions. It's the neighbor. Just talk to the neighbor. Instead he sloppily crafted a snarky letter with veiled insinuations, and a "Bless your heart" like "Welcome to the neighborhood" on his professional stationary. Talk about the incompetence on that one.

Could be, but her post was shared nearly 2500 times. Single mother with two kids. There are scary people in the world.
I think the lawyer was wrong in his approach and looks pathetic, but I also think her response was not appropriate or, at least, I would have handled it differently and not on social media, but that's me.
I think he was afraid to speak with her in person and his "lawyer" mind told him to document this. I would have gone right over to have a discussion with him, but I'm not afraid.

When it comes to owning a house, good chance you're going to be neighbors for a quiet a while. It's not like a road rage thing that usually goes away in a minute.
Send a nasty little note, ruffle feathers.
Post nasty little note on net, mutual ruffled feathers for both. That's a lot of bitterness to overcome. But they're still neighbors.
Think before you scuffle.
