There’s infamous stories of late night fast food workers being kidnapped.

They should not work alone ever

Most vulnerable times safety wise for employees are opening & closing.

Pretty standard precaution in retail.

My wife put the same sign on our master bathroom door

One of my UT roommates (and frat brothers) was murdered in a crime of this nature back in1989. The murderer got the death penalty but in 2005 the SC ruled that minors can't be put to death so his sentence was converted to life.

Pretty common in restaurants. We had the same sign on the back door of a fast food place I worked at in college 30 years ago.

If it's after closing time the front door would be locked. And a robber would be less likely to come in when customers are there.

Was reading about this and apparently this is common for a lot of fast food places, this is the back entrance so if anyone is hanging out at night they could catch you by surprise to get inside or hurt you.

In BRLA a few high profile restaurant robberies took place with staff opening the back door to leave or take out the trash. 20-30 years ago lots of people died that way.

This is yet more proof we can’t have nice things.
