For the record I have 0 tattoos, but I do want them. It's just expensive as shite to get good ones and I'm a cheap bastard.
I'm in the same boat. I also can't decide on something that I'd be OK with for the rest of my life. I'm not against them, would just rather spend the money on something else.

I wonder if the people with their bodies covered were sexually abused.

People realized it's just ink on skin. It's not that serious. Kids in grade school are always getting temp tattoos here and there, always drawing on skin, etc. So it's not a big deal from the get go. Generally I find women have just awful taste in tattoos and get things that don't fit their aesthetic.
The trend I’m noticing with girls from late teen to early 20s is to get numerous small and simple tattoos. They’re places randomly up and down their arms and legs, almost like what you’d see a small child do with an ink pen. Not sure what’s behind this trend, but I’m seeing more and more of it. My wife’s cousin’s daughter who’s in her early 20s has north of a dozen such tattoos randomly placed started on her feet, up her legs, and also on her sides, hands, and up her arms. The last time I saw her was during the summer when we all went to the lake together. I’d imagine she’s gotten more since then. On that same trip she had two friends with her from college and they also had this same pattern of randomly placed, small, simple tattoos.

Yeah, plus chances are that tattoo saying DELICIOUS right above the arse won't have the same appeal 50 years after getting it done at 19...

Over the past decade it seems the majority of the population has really come to embrace tattoos. People in my own family included. I'm talking people in my family getting them in their late 40s and 50s. I knew them all my life growing up and they never desired them. And then one day they were totally infatuated with tattoos.
I’ve seen this as well as most people my age have within our own age group, and I still don’t relate.

Maybe there are lots of people that secretly liked the art of tattoos and never got them because they were socially unacceptable. Now its acceptable....
I am way more concerned about young adults work ethic, new opportunities vs scams, and miss information campaigns than tattoos.

I got a tattoo of a cross on my shoulder when I was 18 and thought I was edgy.
It cost about $200.
I'm 7 sessions in right now to have it removed.
It cost about $2,000.
What a racket.
Why do you want it removed?
Also, don't blame the people who do tattoo removal for the cost. It is called supply and demand. If you want it removed badly enough, you pay whatever price they feel like charging. Free market economics 101.

Because they only way to look dumber than having a bunch of permanent pictures in a planned order on your body is to make it random and simple.
It's like they are trying to outstupid each other.

If I'm ever in the Fort Bragg area, I am getting one on my shoulder blade.

My favorite is the person that wears a particular piece of clothing to specifically highlight their otherwise unseeable tattoo.

Because I want to be less white trash for my children to respect me more.

I only blame myself for being a dumb arse more-white-trash-than-present-day 18 year old. I can still call the entire industry a racket.

Yeah, that’s gross as frick. Would love to take her clothes off, then kick her out after seeing her trailer park map tatted on her torso

Good lord you let this sort of thing really bother you that much? The real epidemic is the amount of people who can’t just stay in their lane and worry about themselves.
People can do whatever they want. It isn’t impacting you what so ever. It ain’t your thing. That’s fine. Leave it at that. Speaking from a person who is covered in ink.
