But how is it even that one of, if not, the best vantage point to try something like that not fortified to the max so there's no chance in hell to dude with a gun could come within 100 feet of that building without it being known by multiple SS folks?
Its literally one of the top areas that should have been secured. It’s the most obvious place to be. It’s just insane

Then simply have a cop sitting up there in a tailgating chair. It’s honestly that simple

Or a fricking ring camera would have worked. The snipers would have gotten the notification on their app with minutes to spare

What the hell kind of censorship is that when you can’t say or type the words “assasination” or “sniper?”

This is already all over the politard board. Why double post here?

If you think the assassination attempt of a former US President is "just politics", that tells me everything I need to know about you being a gigantic piece of shite who is just mad the shooter missed.

I think you just want to post as much as possible

Why do you think there is also a stickied thread here for general assassination attempt talk?

So why not post it in that thread?

I wonder if the shooter was aiming for Trumps head or aiming for the torso and missed badly. With a rifle shot, a torso shot would’ve been the better bet

That's actually insane. Wow. Please excuse my ignorance, but I figured something like this happening in 2024 would be next to impossible to happen now, unless it was a large operation by professionals.

But nope, secret service and law enforcement just let some random jackass climb up on a roof in plain daylight and point his rifle at the former/future? president for multiple minutes. I'm thankful that he was an absolutely terrible shot. But seriously, how tf does this happen though?

I would imagine he would be wearing some sort of bulletproof vest.

loogaroo has a thread on the poliboard that that Secret Service says securing that building was local police's responsibility. This is unbelievable.
quote:

The Secret Service blamed local police for failing to secure the rooftop from which gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump, insisting it was outside of the perimeter the federal agency was tasked with protecting.

Instead, securing and patrolling the factory grounds of AGR International Inc. — located about 130 yards from the stage where Trump was speaking Saturday — was the responsibility of local Pennsylvania police, Secret Service representative Anthony Gugliemi said, according the New York Times.

The Secret Service was only tasked with covering the grounds where Trump’s rally took place, with local police being recruited to assist with those efforts and secure the area outside of the rally.

If you pay attention to government and who runs it, finger pointing is totally believable. It’s what they do.

There’s pretty much no defending that. A 70 year old woman in that video spotted him but we have billions of dollars of intel and resources and couldn’t stop that moron. It’s so bad I can begin to understand how people think trump was setup. There’s just no way that should happen.

Lot of ineptness. A police officer climbed the ladder, saw him, and ran. He could’ve at least fired warning shots into the ground to alert someone.

Of course, he’ll probably be promoted to the USSS, to take the place of the obese female agent who first ducked and hid behind Trump and the other agents before waving her pistol in the air and struggling trying to holster it.

One of the most iconic pictures from the Reagan shooting was the one of the SS Agent who pulled his Uzi and had it at the ready.

Contrast that to this fat DEI hire fumbling her pistol like Barney Fife.

Pathetic.

Reagan’s SS let someone get in point blank range of him with a handgun…..

This was maybe 2 mins before he started shooting. Yes it’s still a long time

It was 2 minutes and 47 seconds I believe. Hence the title “multiple minutes”

And for redundancy, have SS snipers on the water tower providing overlook. You don't need a sniper on that building that the assassin was on. You just have to guard it with police patrolling it, and you have your overwatch on water tower to provide a bird's eye view.
