Since reopening after covid? Haven’t been since then but went a couple times in 2017/2018. I thought it was really good but not michelin star good.

It’s essentially an entire different restaurant now as mentioned

Is this enough proof you can't rely on AI? Look at the corn, look at the faces of people 3, 4 (and check out her? arms), 6, 7, and 8. 10 people lifting a pot that weighs hundreds of pounds, eating it off the ground, FFS.

And who the hell is selling crawfish that size?

To be fair, this very well could be a real photo taken at a family crawfish boil in French Settlement. It looks like AI...but you can't be 100% sure here

I'd place a bet that Emeril's gets two stars. I think Dakar is a shoe in for one.

I'm don't think it's justified but I could see Emeril's getting the full 3 just to make sure New Orleans has a 3-star restaurant.

When HTS comes to Louisiana after a storm we usually stop at the same gas station not far from the MS line. We usually need fuel then and the station has a big parking lot for the trailers.

It also has the best boudin on a stick I have ever eaten.

It needs a star.

They have a frying pan in Eastern Kentucky about that size and the pictures could be identical if it was chickens frying with corn, taters, and biscuits. Same looking group around the frying pan (this was pre covid days).

Looks like a crawfish boil in Carville.

They got some big nice ones though.

The kind we only see when we catch them ourselves or go to a crawfish boil in California.

And that corn ain’t on the cob either

I could be wrong, but I think you have to earn your way up to multiple stars. I think typically a restaurant gets a star and the next year gets another star and it usually takes a few years to get the third.

I don’t know how it works when they come to a new region, but I think it’s a pretty big deal when a restaurant jumps up to getting two or more stars really quickly.

I’d agree though that Emeril’s and Dakar are shoe-ins.

Its not the usual thing, but plenty of places have debuted on the list with multiple stars, a lot of the most famous places you know.

Eleven Madison and French Laundry for instance both debuted with 3.

Didn’t they give a star to a restaurant that was closed?

The two places I have heard in Nashville are Catbird Seat and Locust.
