I have a Gamo Pellet rifle. It have killed Squirrels, Raccoon, Opossum, and Rats with it.
The advertisement showed a guy killing a hog.

Why am I worried about laws in a rat apocalypse?

then why be so upset? A .22 is just the air rifle's older brother. It's not like I said a judge or something.

Because one is legal to shoot in city limits and one isn't.

RAT.
frickING.
APOCALYPSE.
I'm so sorry I didn't stay completely 100% serious and went just slightly out of parameter. In your ratmageddon thread.
Although Rat Kings are a pretty cool phenomenon

Since when did a pellet rifle become a misdemeanor
Anybody have current info?

Seems like cats would be cheaper but cool video.

Here is the reason I picked what I did. You can go to 9:10 where he is hunting rock chucks with it. It is a perfect rat gun, if anything it is overgunning them but it isn't like you are going to be worried about the meat.

I live in a fairly wooded area and I have been hunting at our camp out in the middle of nowhere for over 35 years and I have only seen a rat for the first time in my life Friday.
I saw a rat outside my father's house in Baton Rouge a week ago. Ive never seen a rat or any rodent besides squirrels on his property in 40 years.

If you use the primer fired rounds, they are even quieter than a pellet rifle.
they won't feed automatically though, you'll have to cycle the bolt by hand.

I knew that I had come to the right place. That rat hunting at night video is going on my favorites list.

Watched a Banana Ballistics video about those. Seems like if you hit the rat in the eye he would just loose an eye. They were quiet though.
I can confirm that a CO2 powered semi auto .177 air rifle won't kill a 1 lb wood rat out right. They will die from internal injury later if you hit a soft spot though.

Which air rifle is S tier for killing urban rats?
Would you have to hold it sideways?

This. I had one back in the day. It would put a hole in a old style metal trash can. A benjamin .177 wasn't even close to that power.
