Which is all 3 in this country, as far as stopping the spread.

And even less dangerous.

Why do people care about covid still?

Viruses mutate to become both more milder or severe, so to say it always happens, so it will happen here is false.

It's is beneficial to a virus' survival to become more infectious and less severe and you see that in pandemics/epidemics because of the nature of a pandemic. It needs to spread. However, there is nothing that says a localized strain couldn't mutate to a more infectious and severe variety.

"There is no guarantee of that. We hope that that is the case, but there is no guarantee of that and we can't bank on it,"

This lady just blithely assumed one thing concerning evolution will absolutely happen, and then challenged Darwin’s Theory, by saying the same process she touted previously isn’t guaranteed to work like we think it will for a known process, in subsequent breaths.

It'll be a rough decade or two, but the world will go on. Hell, we've already got a huge percentage of the population that are more or less parasites as it is. Things will work out.

They are in here desperately trying to hold on to their narrative of fear and control.

Such a sick and twisted group.

Rooting for people to get fired for not taking a "vaccine" that doesn't even work. Then they label you dangerous and extreme. lol

It is more about what the process of evolution actually is. For every successful evolution event of a species there are a million that failed.

Just because a virus has a greater chance at surviving by becoming a more transmissable and milder strain doesn't mean that is the path it will take. The actual mutations that occur to push evolution are as close to random as we can describe, so it goes to gather that on a sliding scale those mutations can go either direction.

For every successful species there are a million failed divergents that failed to fill a niche in nature.

i mean ive been pretty anti covid on this board

but omicron was more contagious and virulent than both delta and the OG strain

it also caused more hospitalizations

the death toll also appears to be on the upslope

now they could be manipulating all of this data or whatever, but the current situation doesnt seem too great to me

and if these variants are escaping immunity that quickly we will never keep up with them with jabs

While true, this is misleading. The next variant can have a much lower Rt and still be more "fit" because Omicron immunity works far better against Omicron than against the new variant.

He was exaggerating, but Yes, I am. If that is the price to go back to living life, then yes, let it rip.

A ship in the harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are for.

Christopher Columbus had to know that he had at least a one in three chance of not surviving his voyage. He went anyway...because he had balls! Do you?
