Any idea why they don't let customers pour their own refills?
Some do have a place to do that. The one on Ambassador in Lafayette does or at least did the last time I was in there.
You can go ask for refills if you want one on the off chance you weren't offered by one of the folks walking around already.

Customers are dirty and won’t keep the area clean.
Especially Lewzianer customers.

As people have already stated
Their employees have to clean it. So it is easier to maintain if they are the only ones who access it.
Gives their staff face time with the customers.
Reduces unnecessary waste. Some people are more likely to consume what they ask for vs providing unlimited access. Have you seen some of the lards that throw away full drinks at McD's and other fast food places.
Also allows Chic Fil A to give you better quality soda. Some places water down their soda to account for people who abuse the unlimited refills. Chic Fil A I am told tries to actually give the recommended setting from the distributor.

Same thing at Commander's Palace.

and more about this
Then how do you explain those fancy ketchup packs sitting out for you to grab as many as you want of? Or leaving the jelly packs out during breakfast? Coke syrup is cheap and if it was about cost saving measures I promise you mcdonalds and burger king would be all over the no coke fountain in lobby thing

Self serve fountains at McDonalds are nasty and sticky.
It’s much cleaner at CFA.

You forgot about removing the spicy chicken biscuit and changing the breakfast burrito.
#neverforget

Some locations still have the spicy biscuit. And it’s pure unhealthy gloriousness.

Or so I’m told.
I will say this much for Chick-fil-a employees: they sound more convincing than my wife.

Sure, ketchup is left out but their 10 other sauces are all kept behind the counter...

Weird. I stopped by CFA this morning on State Street in Chicago.
It has a uniquely Chiraq flare. Homeless people hanging out by the door, L trains running by that sound like an artillery barrage, and rude (by CFA standards) employees.

None around me do.
The spicy chicken biscuit with an egg and pepperjack cheese was the GOAT fast food breakfast item
I'll never forgive them for taking it off the menu

And they put pickles on their sandwiches which is gross. Plus, I don't care for the whole religious shtick, but that's their prerogative.

If the interviewer hadent asked a pointed question about gays, no one would know his stance. People who let a CEOs personal opinion on something small affect their consumption of a good product are retarded, In both directions.
