Also suspect is this 'see we told you' narrative about Trump pulling out of the WHO. They seem bitter about it, no?
WHO did an absolutely terrible job with COVID.
And this was after a long stretch of spending more on junkets than diseases.

After reading a few pages of DallasTiger11’s post history I’m having a hard time believing this isn’t a stunt for attention. Seems like true believer.

Biden. Apparently cult45 wants Biden to have four more years, so I will give them what they want!

Back in the day, smallpox meant your ship was getting ventilated into the sea, cargo be damned. Nowadays we don't wanna live in the times of harsh reality but no one's gonna dock a fuggin plague. Life is rough, accept your fate.

There are 40 cases of hantavirus in the US every year. People are manufacturing a story.

In a widespread hantavirus outbreak, we'd be forced at gunpoint to stay inside our homes. It's got a 40% mortality rate.
Viruses with 40% mortality rates can’t have widespread outbreaks

Covid 2.0 just in time for the 2026 mid terms.
I’ve seen this movie before.

This is not true, or at least not universal.
There is a transmission-virulence tradeoff and most viruses with high virulence have low transmission: the dead end host.
However, a virus can have a long incubation period with a long asymptomatic transmission period and still have high death rates. The Andes variant seems to have long incubation periods but there is differing information on the asymptomatic transmission period, which has a lot to do with it being studied in limited numbers.
That being said while I expect there will possibly be some localized hot spots around the world it is unlikely to grow since people with likely seek medical care quickly for a potential disease with only slightly better than a flip of the coin to live and a pretty bad road to travel even if you do live.

A 50% kill rate seems high enough to maybe kill off the infected before they really have a chance to spread it too
Hantavirus and Ebola are self-limiting diseases that are extremely lethal yet almost never spread beyond a certain point. When you’ve got a disease with a 50% mortality rate, it’s pretty damn hard to transmit when all of the hosts are dying.
Evolutionary adaptations have favored viruses like influenza and COVID to transmit while keeping the host alive and only making them a little sick.

Hantavirus has a very long incubation period. You can be infected for weeks without being sick.
But this isn't worth considering. Nothing will happen.

Not if they gain of functioned that shite down like they did with covid.
Never forget our tax money was used to make Covid be more transmissible and less deadly.
You know. So we could study it … and make the world a safer place.
