I should prolly delete that part ..it does come off the wrong way.
Leave it. What I took from it is, no matter how much you have in your bank account, it doesn't matter. In the end you only have family and friends.
Having all those loved ones today was worth more to him than that number at a bank.

I know how that feels.
My people would have been loving football this year.

None of us did, bro. This whole thing went 0-60 in a blink of an eye.
His only kidney failing is what is killing him. But it's failure was due to internal bleeding from the fall that broke his pelvis. Internal bleeding that no one from the hospital checked for in the 3 days he was in there. It's been a mess dude. He is basically slowly drowning from all of the liquid his body is retaining. It's slowly filling up the lungs.
I kinda wish it was legal for me to give him this whole bottle of liquid morphine in one go. Just end it much quicker, and without any pain. Just a nice, deep sleep.

A simple man, a man of values and I'm sure a thankful man.

You are indeed a fortunate fellow.I'm sorry for your loss;however, you've clearly gained far more than you've lost.

I'm sorry for your heartbreak. Our grandparents were amazing people. They just don't make 'em like that anymore. Make sure your kids and grandkids know all about him.
RIP Poppa.

Grief is the price we pay for love. It’s obvious you love him and he loves you. I hope you have some measure of peace through this time.

$40,000,000 or $40... a man is worth his truths.

Another of the greatest generation who ever lived gone and we are the worse for it. In this world’s hour of greatest need, God sent our grandparents generation. They pulled us out of the Great Depression, saved the Free World by defeating the Axis, stopped the spread of Communism, and raised the modern, Western standard of living to levels never seen before or since. People like your Poppa are the truly great men. Prayers sent to you for your loss, but say a prayer of thanks for having such a treasure this long.

Man them old dudes knew nothing but work, my papaw left way before daylight every morning and usually got home way after dark. He owned a little 4 man crew that built homes back when they were built right.
He then tended to his small 100 acre farm and cows.
On weekends he was always doing something, chopping firewood, bailing hay etc etc
It's amazing how we are all a few generations from dirt poor but these old timers paved the way to better their families.
poor one out for Poppa

Very impressive man! Sorry you have to see him go, but it’s his time and letting him go is loving him more than anything else at this point. May he Rest In Peace and May you find peace in his passing.

Sorry about your Pappa baw.
But be thankful for the memories. Both my grandpa's passed before I was born so I never even got the Grandpa experience.

My dad passed from Alzheimer's and it was terrible to watch . I am a firm believer that all Alzheimer's victims go straight to heaven .
