Sounds like a great man that lived a hard but meaningful and successful life. Alzheimer’s is just the worst; my mother suffered with it for 10 years. Stay with your poppa as long as you can and be strong, as tough as it is. Prayers for all of you.

The greatest accomplishment any man can have is to follow and lead others to our Lord and Savior. Rest knowing that this will only be a temporary separation. Thank the Good Lord for your being privileged to have had this man in your life. You are truly blessed. I pray that you receive the peace that goes beyond understanding.

RIP Poppa. sounds like a great man that any of us should strive to be. Wish I had a fraction of the determination this man sounds like he had. Men back then were just built differently.
